My Aunt was admitted to the facility we paid the $7107.00 to move in, I was shown 2 rooms on the second floor but she was place in a room on the 1st floor, it was vacuumed but the walls look dirty and the carpet had a stain on it. I bought her a bed , a tv, clothes for her to wear, and other things my aunt would need, my aunt came into the facility from the hospital and decided she was leaving, however I was with her. The administrator called me while I was out with my aunt trying to settle her down and told me my aunt was a runner and a liability to the facility and she couldn't stay this was on a Friday afternoon she has no other place to go to and I had to rent my aunt a hotel room for a couple of day until i can find her somewhereelse to live., this is a personal care residence, these women come and go as they please which is a liability, but they can stay? I was so excited for my aunt to be in a safe place and even willing to over look the room's condition. So disappointed. Yes the facility will refund my money but where does my aunt live and where do I store her property? I can't get back up to the facility to get her item because I had get her a place to stay, she doesn't have her medicine as the PCA administer the medication.

My sister suffers from Alzheimer's. She is still at a stage where she can dress herself and care for herself but is beyond being trusted with a stove, driving or navigating on her own. We found the Roxborough Home for Living via A Place for Mom and it was, as they say, a godsend. It has been such an improvement in the quality of her life. She receives very good meals, laundry and cleaning, and plenty of attention. The staff and administration has been excellent in attending to her needs such as medication, attending to her physical therapy and fitness, mental outlook. My sister is happier since moving there and that makes my wife and I much happier, as well.

Great place. They treat my grandmom like a queen!
Nice little cozy home, great staff
The administrator at the Roxborough home for women turned my mom away because "she was too quiet" on her 15 min interview they had together. When I tried to explain in email that she may have been quiet because she's losing her house, all her furniture, and maybe was even nervous on the interview, and asked for anothe chance, I've received no response from anyone. To even get her answer on weather or not my mom was accepted I have to call for five days before I was able to reach her, and she knew we needed an answer as soon as possible. Also, all three times I've been there, I've watched As half of the staff stood right outside smoking, next to the sign that says they are a non smoking facility.
