My mother was a resident there and I would never recommend to anyone. My mother laid in her feces and urine soaked diaper for hours. She would ring for the nurse for pain meds, to tell them she went to the bathroom, or for a drink of water or ice, only to wait over an hour(s). She wasn't eating or drinking and no one seemed to care. Would any one of the staff want their mother treated that way? My mother was crying and begging us to get her out of there. Because of the Covid restrictions we were not allowed in and I feel the staff takes full advantage of that. They know no one's coming in to…

They know the family depends on them more then ever now and they just don't seem to care.
Would never recommend this place! The staff would complain about how many hours they work. My dad was at place for 2 weeks and he complained about his butt hurting. When we moved him to another facility, they checked his butt and he had sores. I would go some place else for PT. The case worker did nothing to help me find a place to move my dad. They gave me places that were far from my house to see my dad.
I cannot say enough good about PowerBack, Hatboro! In a matter of 2 days, they addressed, evaluated and created rehab plans that are total mind and body. The facility is truly beautiful. From the front door to my room, it’s analogous to a good hotel. The appearance alone gets you into a rehab mindset. The staff are very friendly and learn your name and likes and dislikes. They actually listen to me and treat me like a part of the process rather than just another body they have to attend to. The nurses are as good as it gets. They tell you everything that’s going on, the meds you’re getting…

They actually listen to me and treat me like a part of the process rather than just another body they have to attend to. The nurses are as good as it gets. They tell you everything that’s going on, the meds you’re getting and the reasons for whatever they’re doing. The therapists are truly thorough. I was evaluated by PT and OT for what seemed like 2 hours. They didn’t rush through any testing. They were slow and methodical. They noted everything I could do and where, even the slightest, weaknesses were. For example, they evaluated my abducter muscles and were able to detect a slight weakness that they included in my plan for strengthening. Their 2 hour evaluations were more comprehensive than the total evals at the two facilities I was in for 3 weeks previously. Lastly, the food. Top notch! Even more important, the prior facilities could not accommodate my being a vegan/gluten free, alkaline and diabetic. In fact, there was no attempt to try. Here, in contrast, they’ve bent over backwards to comply with my dietary restrictions. Last night they made me roasted potatoes, eggplant and mushrooms that was so good I could eat it every night. Truly fantastic. They’ve even ordered special foods so I could keep my diet restrictions. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for me next. Overall, this place is a grand slam. If, G-D forbid, you ever need nursing/rehab care, this is the only place to be. Their name says it all: POWERBACK #failureisnotanoption.
My father, who is at the end of his battle with cancer, stayed here for 3 nights only. The weekend staff was deplorable. They walked around with headphones on and on their cell phones CONSTANTLY. No tech or nurse was ever available to help change my dad who was left to lay around in his own feces and urine. This staff is disgusting. My dad was put on fluid restriction understandably but they literally never brought him anything to drink at all! Every time we got there his mouth was so dry he could hardly speak. The social worker, [Name removed], working "helping" us was completely lazy and did nothing to help my mom who was trying to get my dad home on hospice care. She absolutely knew my mom was in my dad's room waiting to hear from her and she said she called the home number, which she did not. [Name removed] expected us to wait over a week, until [date removed] to make hospice care arrangements. You expect a dying man to wait over a week to be sent home and made comfortable? We did everything ourselves, called everyone ourselves, arranged everything ourselves, and finally got him home because he was not staying in that hole another day. Thank goodness for the new nurse pract. who helped us by signing him out and coming back after she had left for the day. I will do everything in my power to make this known to everyone.
My husband is currently a patient at Powerback. Aesthetically very attractive facility. I came to see him yesterday which was a Saturday. He was in bed in a hospital gown laying on his back. I asked him if the nursing staff got him out of bed that day. He told they hadn't. I was beyond livid! His roomate who is a really nice guy told me the aide came in around 7am and gave my husband a bed bath and that was it . I spoke to his nurse, I am a nurse too which makes no difference, and told her my husband laid in bed all day. She told me the aide asked him if he wanted to get up and he refused. I know that is a lie because my husband can't stand laying in bed. I asked the nurse if they went back later in the day to get him up but she said she didn't know. I asked if they had repositioned during the day because he can't turn to the side without assistance. Says she didn't know. His roomate said they didn't even take my husband to the bathroom when he had to have a bowel movement and put him on the bed pan instead. As soon as my husband got done eating my daughter and I repositioned on his side . The nurse came in shortly after to check on him. Don't think it was a coincidence . My husband is at Powerback for conditioning. Also had no therapy on Saturday. His roomate, who told me he is looking out for my husband , asked the staff if he could sit in his wheelchair for awhile. Said they left him in there for several hours and he had to ring for the nurse for a hour. My husband had a nurse named [Name removed] during the week and I pray he has him this week. Very attentive to my husband and had no difficulty getting him into the bathroom, I have my husband's care planning meeting tomorrow afternoon which I was told would be 2 hrs but saw a note in my husband's room saying it is for 10 minutes! I am not going to say anything about Saturday in front of my husband because he didn't want me to say anything about Saturday. I will make sure I talk to them before they run down the hall. Will also make a visit to the Director of Nursing. Will probably be hiding in her office. My husband said the therapists are great and that is what he is at Powerback for. However, that care doesn't extends to the nursing staff.
I wouldn't send my [Removed] to this place! My mother in law was there in December and did not receive the best of care. Granted, she is 94 and, unfortunately, that may play a role. She was discharged before she was really able to do anything for herself. She went home and ended up back in the hospital with Pneumonia.
This place is horrible and nasty. The building reeks of urine as soon as you hit the 2nd floor hallway. My aunt caught an infection from this facility and had to be rush to the emergency room at the local hospital. I witnessed a CNA look a vomit in my aunt's plastic basin and left it there then turned to walk out of the room without cleaning it. They serve artificial/processed food to the patients. My aunt did not move the bowels for 4 days in this place. She kept vomitting from being too full. They wait until situations are extremely bad before they do anything about it. Her doctor, nor no other doctor came to see about her the entire time she was there. This place didn't even have all the medication that she needed. It took them days to get her correct supply of medicine. They are very unprofessional. On top of it all when she was rushed to the hospital because of the infection, someone went through her belongings and stole something of value to her...ridiculous place. Don't even send your pet here. If I could rate this place a zero, I would.
my 80 year old mother was in there for 13 days following her surgery. I would not recommend this place to anyone. the care is horrible. she had to wait an hour for someone to respond to ringing for a nurse. first two days there she did not get any rehabilitation. staff was unprofessional. the food was never hot. they just don't care there. my mother ended up with scabies from this place. find another facility.
