The new leadership at Aventura at Pembrooke has been truly transformative to the overall experience. Their dedication, communication, and hands-on approach have created a more positive and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff. The nurses and nursing assistants are compassionate, attentive, and hardworking, and the stronger leadership has helped bring even more teamwork and consistency throughout the facility.
I Love & will love this facility and staff for the rest of my life..I thank god everyday for the staff & care I received during my journey. Dawn Farage is "The Best" She goes above & beyond & truly cares. My unit Mgr. Ria is awesome..they all are . & I'm gonna miss them all!!❤❤.
On 04/15/2026 between approximately 5:00–6:00 PM, I had a deeply concerning experience at this facility while completing a DoorDash delivery. Per DoorDash policy, drivers are not permitted to enter patient rooms. When my girlfriend attempted to leave the order at the front desk, the staff member there insisted she take a coded elevator to deliver it directly. She clearly stated she was not comfortable doing so and requested to leave and cancel the order. At that point, she was unable to exit the building because the door was controlled from behind the desk and was not opened for her despite her request to leave. After being directed downstairs, a nurse refused to accept the order and told her to bring it into a patient’s room. She was then placed in a situation where she had to enter a room with a naked and visibly unstable individual, which was extremely distressing and inappropriate for a third-party delivery driver. This experience left her shaken and in tears. No delivery driver should be pressured into entering private patient areas or prevented from leaving when they express discomfort. I refuse to believe this is your company’s policy as it endangers the drivers and your facility as she had complete control to go wherever she wanted. The same exact thing happened to the male Indian driver before her and he tried to warn her to not go in. If you do not review your policies, retrain your staff, and fire the woman who had a complete power trip you will eventually receive a huge lawsuit. Currently coordinating with DoorDash to ban your facility from receiving orders which is not fair to your patients but ultimately is your staffs fault. I am requesting that management review this incident, including staff conduct and safety protocols for third-party drivers, to ensure this does not happen again.
ZERO STARS!! Poor medical care. Understaffed. Not attentive. There’s always a resident in the hallway waiting for a transport. I waited 1hr for my visit due to a wait on a transport. Impatient with residents. “What you need?” Is how they come to the room after being called on. So unprofessional. Residents rooms aren’t being kept clean. Dirty dishes. Wound care isn’t prioritized!! Weak communication skills; especially when switching shifts. Nasty attitudes and horrible work ethics. TODAY 3/28/26 around 12:30pm I had a aide/nurse named Jasmin (who’s pregnant) tell me “well you come do it” while I was on a call with a current resident expressing how they were laying flat for hours and that they wanted to be propped up with pillows due to their bed being broken. With their condition it’s impossible for them to adjust their position on their own and they had them wait over 40mins. I am so overwhelmed with this place. I wouldn’t recommend anyone here!!
As a family member, I have to say our experience during admission at Aventura Pembroke was very upsetting. We arrived already feeling anxious about placing our mom in a nursing home, and it was incredibly disappointing that no one from administration came to greet us or explain what to expect. It made us feel overlooked and added stress to an already emotional situation. The only person who took the time to help us was the nurse taking care of our mom who was clearly very busy. Despite that she made a real effort to talk with us and walk us through the process. She was polite, patient, and understanding of our frustrations. She mentioned that even all though she is an agency nurse she does work here regularly, which honestly gave us some relief knowing there would be at least one familiar face around. Families should not feel ignored during such an important and emotional transition.
I've had enough of these nurses treating patients BAD. They are rude and very aggressive. My BF hasn't been treated ok since he's been there NEVER AGAIN WILL I HAVE HIM COME HERE
Very clean and nice facility
Nothing other than good to say
