It would have probably been better if we didn't move her there when the entire staff was in the middle of changing over. It was very disorganized. Many days I went in to see my mom, and her pure wick was never cleaned. We had to do that. During the day, they didn't even have the pure wick hooked up. Most of the staff was friendly. Some of them didn't want to be bothered. The nurses that took care of her were a 5. They were great advocating for her, and taking care of her. The meals and dining room are are 5. The kitchen staff is a 5 also. Activities were wonderful that category is a 5. The…

I have visited this facility a few times over the past year for some of their community events. This facility is very bright and clean. The staff is very kind and friendly and you can see how much they care about their residents, and also for the community. I highly recommend looking into Independence Court of Monroeville if you or a Loved one is in need of an Assistant living facility.
Keep in mind that my dad went there to die and did not use a lot of the offerings. There was little interaction due to my dads wishes. Based off of our short experience, I would recommend them to others looking.
The management staff are very nice. Especially, [name removed]. There is high turnover in the nursing staff, which creates a lot of confusion regarding meds and specific care needs. The pharmacy is awful and consistently over charges. The evening staff are poor.
My mom has been a resident here for over a year now. I have been very happy with the way they treat her, and with the level of communication they provide me. My mom has never had anything bad to say, and neither have I. I toured four different facilities when I was looking for a place for her, and while there were other contenders that I feel might have matched the level of care here, they were all further away and more expensive by a wide margin. The building is generally well cared for, and while there have been some instances of high turnover closer to the top of the management ladder, the aides who see my mom on a daily basis have remained mostly the same. I have had multiple other residents tell me that the food served here is better than any of the other facilities that they have been in, some citing as many as three other care homes. My only wish is that there was an Excela facility closer to Monroeville so I didn't have to transport her as far for doctors appointments, but that is hardly the fault of the people at Independence Court. I would recommend anyone seeking senior care for a parent to tour here and see what they think.
Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend the Independence Court of Monroeville to other families
Tiffany in admissions has been very helpful in addressing any issues that arise. She always has a smile on her face.
My loved one was previously a resident at Independence Court of Monroeville. Overall, her experience at this facility was great! All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful at all times. The cleanliness and quality of care were great. My loved one loved it there! I would definitely recommend Independence Court of Monroeville to family and friends.
