Beatty Pointe Village was very nice. They had an apartment with a bedroom or just a studio and they provided all the food and everything but it was not assisted living. It's independent living. At the time, it was like $3500 and it's been a good year ago so I imagine that price has gone up. The rooms were very nice. All your meals are prepared. They had laundry facilities where you could do your laundry. They have activities. I was very impressed. The staff was very nice, very knowledgeable, not pushy, just letting me know what's there. I could keep my car there. It was very clean, had big open spaces, and was very friendly. It had a lot of furniture where you could sit around. You could sit out on a porch or something. It was very comfortable looking.

I visited Beatty Pointe Village. They had a lot of activities going on there. It was very nice. They had an independent type of living. The little apartments are very nice. I had lunch there. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and informative. I was very impressed with the whole facility with the living setup, the activities, and the personnel were all very helpful. The food was very tasty. It was very good food. It was impressive the way they presented it.

Poor management; lazy

My friend has moved into Beatty Pointe Village. She likes it. She has a large efficiency, and it's nice. It's just the size that she wanted. It's not like an institutional place. They have a nice dining room and three meals a day. If you don't like what they have on the menu, you can ask for something else. If I had to go to one, I would go there. The place is beautiful. They have a gym, a beauty shop, a gift shop, and laundry. They have all the amenities that you would want and they take them on a bus. They take them all over the place, shopping, to bingo, to casinos, and movies. They do a lot for them and they have something going on every day up there. I'm only eight minutes from her, so I go to see her once a week or twice a week. There's a small efficiency and a large efficiency. She got the large one. There's a kitchenette in it, a full-size refrigerator, and a sink. There's no range in it. She could get her own microwave, but she doesn't want to. There are two big closets with sliding doors and two windows. She has a twin bed in there, a recliner, an end table, and a little dresser. It's very nice for her. It's just the right size for her. They provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it's something different every day. If you don't like what's on the menu, they have an alternative, and then they have a buffet also. The staff is very nice. The food was very good. I was in there for lunch with her last week, and they had pepper steak, rice, cauliflower, beans, and a salad. For dessert, they had ice cream or sherbet, and it was very good. It's very well worth it. I have two cousins in there. It's nice that when I go to visit my friend, then I visit my cousins.

This is a pleasant facility. Someone I know of has residence here and as far as facilities go, it's a one-stop shop. 3 squares a day, a barber, regular activities and events, outings, trips to local venues and stores, and the food is pretty decent. Meals are really well balanced (I've had a couple myself) and the staff's supportive and kind. I think that last bit makes the biggest difference.
