I received excellent care during my stay for physical therapy and rehabilitation. My PT/OT team was caring, kind, professional, and encouraging in getting me to where I needed to be to achieve my goal, especially Melissa, Amanda, and Asezia (aka Daisy). The entire third floor staff of nurses, aides, and food service delivery aides were kind and caring, administering their duties 24/7. A special shout out to Miss Angelita, Georgina, Jaylynn, Sam, and nurse Miss Momma Brittany. TY from the bottom of my heart for all you did to help me recover. God bless you all! 🙏✝️❤️ Miss Pam☺️
This chicken salad needs to be studied by scientists and then quietly removed from society, because one bite had me rethinking every decision that led me there. I made my grandma try it and she just sat there in silence, shook her head, and said it was the worst thing she’s ever tasted and this woman has lived through decades of sketchy food, so that’s basically a historical review. The chicken tasted like it gave up on life, the texture was confusing at best, and the whole thing felt like it was made by someone who actively hates cooking. Honestly feels like they care way more about your wallet than your taste buds, so unless you enjoy edible disappointment, don’t order this.
Never returned my call.
My mom was left for the longest 17 hours in a diaper. She has a healthy mind. She has normal cognitive functions. She if there because she broke her hip and I work a lot and we are not from PA. We have no family here. They let my mom go weeks without a bath and told us its because she can't stand on her own yet. Then a nurse asked my mom after weeks "why do you keep rejecting showers." My mom let her know she was informed she can't shower. They told me, my husband and my adult daughter the same thing. They had to find out we open a complaint with the health department to finally keep up with her care, but then tricked her to sign a form to have her released on Monday. They didn't know my husband use to deal with insurance billing with UPMC and is also a veteran. He knew exactly what needed to be done and he reported a claim of elderly abuse! SHAME ON THEM!! My mom deserves BETTER!!
I wish I could give this place negative stars. Your loved one will die a slow painful death here. Three hours will pass without one staff member on the floor. Patients has come up to me to ask for things because there’s no one else to help them.If I’ve literally never been to such a neglectful nursing home in my life. You’re better off getting a cheap apartment and leaving your loved one there alone all day . The nurses are nice the two times a day you ever see them a day. My aunt was there for a week and no one changed her clothes. I told multiple people she was in pain. It took them four days to look and discover she had bed sores. If any CNAs work there then I’ve never seen one. This place is gorgeous inside you would never suspect this was going on inside. And before the owner comments on this post to tell me how they take every complaint seriously SHAME ON YOU!!!There is absolutely no way you’re not aware of this problem. I talked to multiple other visitors who told me not to even bother trying to find someone available to help me. They said they’ve complained numerous and nothing has changed.
The food was terrible, the second and third shifts have a lot to be desired, you had to wait a long time to tell them what you need when you press the button for the nurse to answer what you wanted, then you wait again.getting your medicines was like pulling teeth. They are not in a hurry not matter what you need.I had a hard time getting my pain pills! And when I was in Shadyside they had a router you got your medication. This I don’t know for sure but Shadyside I was getting 10 and 25mg. When I got them at Concordia I got 5mg. I can’t see the doctor changing that much of a dose. They could have called the doctor to make sure.
I had an excellent experience at Concordia in Monroeville. Very pleasant atmosphere. Therapy was thorough an extremely helpful. The Therapists were excellent, Sarah, Amanda, Melissa and Mike. The Nurses were excellent in administering my meds correctly and on time especially Britney! I really enjoyed attending the various activities, concerts and bingo. I was glad to be transported to each event by Nate and I enjoyed how both Nate and Janice, the Activities Director interacted with the parents! In General the entire staff from House keeping to Passing Trays we’re very polite. Not to mention how good the food tasted😋 The Nurses AIDS were very good in getting what ever was needed, Sherry stands out especially.
Do not send anyone to Concordia. My wife was doing well there until they kicked her out. They put money over care. I appealed her discharge, denied. Two days later she fell at home, now she is having brain surgery for multiple brain bleeds at Upmc Presby. They are heartless, and want money over care. If I could, I would have them shut down. They leave residents in the hall, and as they scream for help, nobody addresses it. It is hell on earth. Believe me, I’ve been there. Money rules there, not patient care
