II was looking for a better place for my father and I came across Brookdale Harrisburg. Both my aunts were already living there so to my father that was a win win. Now they all can be living in the same place. . I met with Alex who guided me through the entire process. He was extremely kind and understanding to me and my father. He made sure my father was comfortable and happy with the room he had for him. Alex went above and beyond to ensure my dad was happy.. Besides that the staff were very caring towards my dad’s needs. Courtney was very helpful ensuring that my dad’s needs were taken…

Tina and Michelle went above and beyond to make sure my father was comfortable in his last days. I am grateful for all of you and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. ❤️🩹 Robert Morton’s family.❤️🩹
My mom keeps saying all the staff are very kind to her. And they make sure that she goes to activities and events. They also make sure she keeps herself clean
My brother was quite happy there and overall we were pleased with the care he received. The atmosphere was very pleasant...friendly and caring, but also quiet and respectful of each person's privacy. Activities...hard to rate as my brother, who was at Brookdale, did not participate in too many activities...but the family events at holidays were very nice...4.My brother needed a high level of care and the staff did well with accommodating his needs. The Director of Wellness was on top of his issues and addressed my concerns quickly. She seemed to genuinely care about the residents. I am sure…

I am sure different people have had different experiences there depending on staff at the time. My brother passed away about a month ago....but he really liked his Brookdale "home" until the end...the staff took a liking to him and would joke with him as well, so he felt very comfortable there. We were sorry his time there could not have been longer. We (myself and his son) thank "A Place for Mom" for the recommendation.
I toured Brookdale Harrisburg. Everything appeared dated. The staff was great. They seem very willing to work to try and meet our needs. It's just the couple that I'm looking for is kind of a unique challenge, first of all, because it's a couple. Secondly, because their needs were different, but everyone was very kind and they reached back, afterwards, I was very pleased with that. They answered all the questions. They tried to give us other options based on what they saw our needs were after talking and doing the tour. So, that was all a very positive experience. It's just not going to suit.
I wish I could have given a "0" for some of those!! Lack of training!!!Especially in memory care! NO engaging activities for memory care residents as was promised (just put in front of TV most of the time). This has been going on for one year now! And this has been brought to management's attention several times. Lack of bathing/hygiene for my loved one. Also brought to management's attention. Management needs to be more involved and hold their employees accountable. Too many aides just sit around on their phones! Also brought to management's attention. Up until a couple months ago when a new health & wellness coordinator was hired, communication and care was terrible. It has improved since the new coordinator came onboard.
I toured Brookdale Harrisburg. The place was pretty nice and very clean. They have many people to take care of in their memory care area. The staff was very helpful. The building was in very good shape. It's a pretty good size room. The room doesn't have a private bathroom. It is shared with another room.
Apparently Shelly Dickow used to work here. She transferred to Bridges at Bent Creek and cancelled my performance without ever having met me. I've played there since 2013. Massively unprofessional.
It is a nice place, clean and very friendly. Only complaint would be the food is not great.
