My mother was here 8 years. As the years went on the changes in administative staff made it very difficult for me to manage her care. Most of the staff were wonderful but the last administrator was very different than the previous one and they set the tone. Some front desk staff became more difficult and rude which seemed to be encouraged by the manager. Also rent went up as usual but cuts in budget were evident. The elevators had been out for months at a time and Mom lived on the fourth floor. During COVID I was forbidden to enter for months even when general public restrictions were lifted.…
During COVID I was forbidden to enter for months even when general public restrictions were lifted. Most of the year. The rude manager called the police on me when I tried to explain I needed to see my mother. I had to get the Chester County Ombudsman at the Dept of Aging and a lawyer involved. Also the local fire chief confirmed when I called there was no plan with them to evacuate with the elevators out. I asked for the managers superior's contact info and she refused until the ombudsman got it and shared it. They had the manager apologize but by that time I found a better facility that was newer for 2/3 the price. I recommend staying away. She moved out 3 years ago but doubt it improved dramatically since then.
Nice
Family member just moved out - Many issues: small animals in kitchen vent in other apts, mold in A/C (cleaning promised but not done), pool promised but not usable for nearly 3 years, housekeeping services promised but unreliable. VERY unprofessional administrative staff on numerous occasions. Would NOT recommend to anyone.,
They are responsive and work with residents to get them care they need. She liked location, near her friends. Price couldn't be beat. Population seemed more active.
What we like the most about Ashbridge Manor is the convenient location to travel to, lots of shopping and restaurants, a lovely garden, pool if you want to swim. Nice place. Apartments are nice size and layout. Big bathrooms. Yes, we would recommend the community to other based on the experience.
I can make my apartment feel like home, I have my two fur babies, holly and molly and it is in my price range.
This has been my home for 18 months and I love it.
Ashbridge Manor was a great option for a senior who doesn’t have the kind of capital needed to buy in to typical retirement homes. Residents and employees seem pleasant and engaging and were very welcoming.
