Smells really bad. When you go into the wards, all you can smell are soiled diapers and pads. Its awful The building needs a lot of upkeep, holes in walls that were never filled, wallpaper pealing... bedside carts that are falling apart. Was told don't drink the limeade at the entrance because its been there multiple days with no ice. Its sad, these people living here deserve better attention and surroundings. Needs to be subsidy for more staff and upkeep. It shouldn't smell or look this bad

I came to see my husband on July 9th and found his room empty. Went to desk to ask where he went and the nurse told me he had been sick and took him to York ,Hospital. But when I got there, he was not there but at UPMC Memorial. Also, they had noted they contacted me but the number was wrong and I had given them 3 numbers...my number, my daughters number and my son in law as we were away the week before. None were on the computer screen!! So they had called someone else! Also, may i ask if you were flushing his nephrostomy tubes every day or two. This may have kept him from another infection.…

This may have kept him from another infection. He died Tuesday night in the ICU at Memorial. He had heart issues and cancer and his body just gave out. He would have had more energy to do rehab without more infection. I feel you fid not have enough staff to handle anyone with issues. He liked the PT person, Chris, Eli, both Lauras, and Flora who gave him great attention.

This may in fact be one of the worst places to go for therapy. My mom was there just for a few days before she fell out of her bed. (which no one saw, they just found her there). This fall resulted in my mom being put in a chair and sat in the hallway "so they could watch her." Super poor treatment from York Skilled which led to my mother being sent back to the ER only a few days later. 5 days later she passed away.

This has to be the worst Healthcare facility I've ever seen. It's disgusting, dirty. As a Healthcare employee, This is shameful. I went to see a relative, and was mortified. I wishing could have taken her out of here. Bedpan, dirty with BM, on the bathroom floor with no protection or cover, and then they just pick it up and use it again. Imagine that on YOUR skin.

I was very impressed with everyone who worked with me in rehab, they were compassionate and caring, they didn't push you, but they kept on encouraging you to do better, I truly want to go home, and I will be going home in four days, that's thanks to how rehab works with you, I will really miss the girls, I THANK YOU GIRLS

My brother has been a patient at York North for two years. He has been treated well. The interactions with staff is always friendly and positive. A big shout out to Hope McClain, Business Office Manager. She has been extremely helpful. Always ready to help and always with a smile.

I would give less than 1 star. Mom was discharged here from the hospital to ensure she received therapy but she didn't get any therapy the Friday she arrived and they don't do therapy on the weekends! So she paid for three days and didn't receive any therapy. And this is a rehab?! When rehab did see her they said, why are you even here? Only gave her one, 15 minute therapy a day. What a waste of time and money! They didn't have her life sustaining meds for two days. I had to keep asking for them. They said their pharmacy is 4 hours away and they can't see if they have the meds she needs until after she arrives so it take a day or two to get them, but they might not have them in stock. They never gave her all her meds. They didn't give her a menu or ask about her diet and kept forgetting to give her any meals. She had to keep asking and then it was cold. The staff were nice and trying to do a good job but very poor processes. The place is rundown.and dirty, big gauges in the wall, sink faucet broken. Certainly not a healing or healthy environment. I wouldn't want a loved one there, especially if they couldn't fend for themselves.

I’ve had a great experience with the York Skilled Rehab Center. The staff are extremely nice and willing to the help at a moments notice. They treat their patients as if they are their own family and provide a lot of attention to their wants and needs. Any time I call or email, they are informative, detailed, and walk me through any issue I am having. I would highly recommend this place to any family or friends in need of a skilled nursing facility.
