Westmoreland Manor Is beautiful in all ways. The patio is so peaceful, the rooms are clean, the staff is so kind.
The caretakers there make it great.
Jennifer, with the Social Service Department, was very helpful
My mother has moved into Westmoreland Manor. Exceptional service, exceptional help from the staff. We had a lot of help with the placement. We also had a lot of help with finances in terms of being educated about different avenues that we can pursue. As far as the staff on her floor, (like the nurses and nurses' aides, the staff, and the cafeteria staff), they have all been just really, really nice. I've gotten to know quite a few of them on a first-name basis, and I would give them my top recommendation. I would cut Mom's dinner up for her, and so I took an occasional bite to see what the food tasted like, and it was very good. My mom is gaining weight, too. I have no complaints. She eats everything on the plate, and I've never seen her do that before, so I'm sure she would evaluate it highly, too. My mom is not very mobile, so she doesn't go anywhere, but her room is adequate. I can get in there, sit down on a chair, and so on. The maintenance of the place is excellent, too. My mom refuses to go to any activities. She just wants to stay in her room. However, they're always having activities, and they're always inviting her. In that respect, I would give their activities a five. I also know a lot of people on the floor go to the activities. They have a patio. I haven't seen it yet, but I'll be taking my mom out there as the weather continues to warm up. There is also a library. I've seen the chapel, and that's very nice. Some of the activity rooms on the floor are large.
The staff was terrific with my sister !!!
This facility was aweful. My mother in law was there for 4 months after having a stroke. We were lied to multiple times about care and medications. She always had to wait forever for someone to take her to the bathroom. They did not take her to any activities & they would just sit her in the hallway looking at the wall. We recently moved her to a nicer facility, they did not arrange a transport even though we asked, so we put her in our car and took her even though she needed to be in a wheel chair. They also gave her a mega dose of laxatives the morning that we took her.. and she is still suffering from the after effects of that. I wouldn’t put my worst enemy at the Manor!
One of if not the best nursing homes in America. Wonderful caring staff and office personnel. Could not ask for better
Thank you!
