My Dad was reluctant to go to any assisted living facility. The family took a tour with him and he was feeling better about staying there. After 3 months of getting adjusted, he was surprised that all the staff new his name. He does not participate in all the activities, but the Meadows has lots of daily activities. He can come and go as he pleases, as family is close by to take him wherever he wants to go. He gets 3 meals a day in the dining hall and all rooms are cleaned weekly. Please call and take a tour, you won't be disappointed.
If you need a real review here’s one for you. I’ll go over details and the truth as they have erased comments on social media and more. The good: -If your loved one is simply physical disabled (not able to walk, run, carry much) they’re an ok place. They have activities. -Meals and medicines are mostly on time. -Some of the staff is friendly The Bad: -We found the staff making fun of residents in the break room. -Management has very bad attitude -Staff correction is so poor because they fear losing staff. -Not enough staff -Medical personnel is only available at very limited times of the day.…
If you need a real review here’s one for you. -Not enough staff -Medical personnel is only available at very limited times of the day. -Doctor on call is only available once a month. -Wont answer simple questions like “can we put a camera in our loved ones room as they requested?” (Who wouldn’t after hearing them speak so bad about residents) My story: My grandmother was put here outside of my personal control by my aunt. I will take some blame here as my aunt hid the fact that my grandmother had early onset dementia. Yet, they still accepted her. Now, that was wrong on both ends. But after one visit in we walked around the corner only to hear 3 nurses bad talk my grandmother and other residents. They were confronted and management was made aware but little to nothing was done. Shortly after, I would ask questions via social media and phone call about cameras, they acted shocked and upset I asked on the phone and never got back to me. Then deleted my comments on Facebook. From the outside the place seems ok. I think if your family member is “easy” to care for they’ll be a great place. But I’m not paying for “easy” to care for. We’re paying for skilled professionals who can handle difficult situations. They don’t, they can’t and they won’t. Do with this what you will. Also good luck deleting Meadows because I’ll be back if you do!!
Friendly, caring staff. Very well run facility. Good food.
I went to The Meadows. The appearance is very beautiful. It looks like a grand hotel. It has a big front porch, and it's out in the country (which is very beautiful). The rooms are good size. The dining room is big, and so is the community room. It seems like they offer a lot of activities. The staff was very, very nice, and very helpful. They have a big community room where they said they can go and play game and bingo. They have a big piano there that somebody probably comes and entertains them.
I went to The Meadows. I liked the decor, the openness of it, the ease of getting to the dining room, and the very country atmosphere (in which my father was born and raised in). It kind of represents his beginnings as he nears his end. The staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating, and they answered all questions without hesitation. There's no kitchenette, but you're allowed to bring your refrigerator. They've got a beautiful courtyard and a little deck area. There's a complete flat walk around, and they've got various places. They've got raised gardens.
My mom is at The Meadows Assisted Living Community, and so far we're good. We're very pleased where she is. They have a lot of caring nurses there, they have activities constantly like Bingo and manicures for the women, they have an activities board where they list all the activities for the day, and they provide church services for them. We're really very happy with it, and we're glad. It's pretty much top of the line, and the food's good. It's always well-balanced, and there are good portions. We're very pleased with the way they treat her -- always very respectful and caring -- and they're easy to work with. It's a very good place.
