My mother in law went there a little over 2 years ago until her recent passing. We anticipated her stay would only be short time while she was healing from a surgery. Due to complications that became her Home away from Home. I cannot express enough how pleased we were with the complete care and treatment she received. They truly treated her and the others like their own family. There were home cooked meals served at a comfortable dining table. The living rooms are made for a comfortable gathering area as well as the ability to have private time in their room. Anytime we asked, my MIL would tell us that she was happy and well taken care of. They accommodated us anytime we wanted to take her to an appointment or just an outing to spend time with her. There are not enough good things I can say about the owners and staff that loved and cared for her. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all you have done to make her happy and loved while she was in your care!
My mother spent the final 2+ years of her life in this wonderful place. When it became necessary to place my mom in a personal care facility it broke my heart. But it didn’t take long for me to see how loving and supportive the owners and staff were to the people under their care. Whether it was the meals that they prepared, the attention they gave, or the way they tended to the residents every single day, we were blessed to have them giving mom the care we were unable to provide.
Kindness 100%, care 100%, meals 100%, needs100%, respect for your love one 100 %, contact family when needed too 100%, meds given 100%, clean 100%, staff 100% totally excellent. I highly recommend the gathering place for your family member,.they will treat your family member like one of there family, you will feel comfortable, and knowing your family is taken care for.

When my mother had a stroke the end of October 2025 I knew that we needed to find a place to continue to rehab before going home. After a conversation with Pastor Ken he recommended The Gathering Place. He told me that this place was special and it was different. It was a smaller, family like setting. He told me it was like home, with homemade food and staff that treated you like family. After moving my mom in I saw for myself all the things that he told us about. The staff is amazing. They treated my mom more like family than like a resident. It smells like home with yummy food always cooking. My mom loved the homemade ice cream and fudge. Not only did the staff and residents welcome my mom with open arms they also included me. When my mom continued to have small strokes they immediately would update me of any changes or concerns. They provided her the best, most amazing care during her transition. And supported me as well. I will forever be grateful to Pastor Ken for his recommendation and to The Gathering Place for the loving care that they provided for my mom and I.
I can’t say enough about how great The Gathering Place is! My husband was there just a short time but he got the best care that anyone could give him. They are truly angels of Mercy! It is very clean and a very friendly atmosphere. Just like being at home! Thank you for all that you do!
I just couldn't have asked for a better personal care home for Mike. The staff cared for him like he was family. Any changes in his condition, the staff immediately notified me and kept me updated even in his final days. They stayed with him as a true family member would. Mike always told me he was well taken care of and he loved the home cooked meals. Many thanks to the staff for the wonderful care and I highly recommend The Gathering Place for your loved one if the time ever comes that he or she needs that extra help in everyday living.
