I just spent allot of money trying to figure out a non-existent lean because this nursing home denied my mentally ill mother saying she was at risk because there was a third party on her trailer title and she was a financial risk. I attempted to contact the home myself to confirm what the social worker was saying and to get more answers. There is no lean or additional parties in her title. They claimed she was a financial risk. She is at a different location fully approved and being taken care of in another county. I will never forget how their misinformation on a denial caused me so many…

I will never forget how their misinformation on a denial caused me so many problems when trying to keep my mom safe. What kind of company acts this way. They wouldn't even get this one star if the system didn't force me to. Every other home I talked to was able to tell me a good reason to say no such as they couldn't provide the care she needed. Not this one. It seems they only care about money.

My dad was a resident for about 1.5 yrs. Day to day care was good. Most nursing care and aides were pleasant. Front desk was fine. Food services and activities returned my calls. Older facility, aging elevator, could use some upgrades. It is unfortunate that meals were not a priority in a timely matter or fresh. Most of his complaining was food. During his time and seeing his bill going up each month, calls and emails were constantly made with no return calls or emails. He was straight medicaid! This was my biggest issue with billing calls never returned. The offices with Butler Agency got…

This was my biggest issue with billing calls never returned. The offices with Butler Agency got complaints from families about Sunnyview administration The agency could not reach out to anyone as well. It is sad to see a facility ignore communication. Zero communication isnt a violation so nothing to do but deal with frustrating unpleasant business practices!

My Mom is at this place now. I called and left 2 messages yesterday for someone to call me back. Nobody ever did. A couple weeks ago my brother ( who is a doctor) called there twice in one day and nobody ever called him back either. We pay the same price as we would at a nicer facility, but we get no common courtesy. The residents get their meals at random times ( often dinner is at 7-8 at night ) and they are given minimum time to eat it before they whisk their trays away. I fed my mom the other day and she acted as if she hadn’t eaten in a week. She can’t speak because of a stoke and has…

I’m very disappointed in this establishment.

Mixed reviews on my dads care for his long term care. The day to day staff were very caring, building is old, elevator old, could definitely use some updates. Food for dad had its problems, mainly with getting food to residents warm and timely matter. Remember him getting dinner at 8pm many times. They reached out with my concerns for most part some improvement. My biggest concern is the lack of communication and awareness of needs in those tough decline weeks. Palliative care needed to be brought up much sooner. We jumped right into Hospice care which Monarch was amazing and quick to respond to his and our needs. The staff at Sunnyview did their best to accommodate and we appreciate their efforts. I called the Obudsman of Butler County for several unresponsive attempts for concerns for my dads care throughout his stay. Whoever is managing that is unreachable to agencies or families. That is very unfortunate. Why I have mixed reviews. But hope this helps in preparation for your loved ones. I HAVE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE MY DISGUST IN RECEIVING A CALL A WEEK AFTER MY DADS PASSING TO ADDRESS MY NEGATIVE COMMENTS! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! THAT IS HARASSMENT!

Friendly front desk receptionist. She greeted me by name and had kind words upon my depature. I visited the 2nd floor and it was clean and quietly comfortable surroundings. The elevator worked better than usually and I was in and out for a quick visit to the 2nd floor, Cardinal place.

My uncle is currently living here and is receiving the best possible care from their staff. He has dementia and is no longer able to care for himself. He is happy and thriving at Sunnyview. While he is our family, all staff there treat him as their own. I am so appreciative and grateful.

Family member stayed at this facility for skilled therapy after a hip fracture. Room was clean, rehab staff pleasant and professional. Plan of care and discharge plans clearly communicated. Overall pleased with the care she received.

Excellent care, compassionate staff. Have had multiple family members on rehab unit over the years and a family member currently in long term. Appreciate staff communication, timely maintenance response and activities efforts to keep patients engaged.
