The building and interior are indeed as beautiful as other reviews note. However, as someone who visited my loved one frequently, I would strongly discourage anyone from placing a family member at Silver Springs Personal Care. Based on my family’s experience, my concerns involved the following areas of Pennsylvania personal care home regulations: § 2600.20 — Staffing and supervision § 2600.16 — Reportable incidents and conditions § 2600.25 — Resident-home contract and notification responsibilities § 2600.123 — Personal care services § 2600.228 — Reporting and investigating incidents and…

They were significant enough that I removed my father from this facility after only about a two-month stay because of concerns about his care and safety. I filed four urgent complaints with the Department of Human Services over a two-week period in March 2026. The attached photos reflect conditions and incidents I personally observed, including a dirty floor over multiple days and a medication cup containing pills and water left in the room for hours. These are only two of the photos I have taken to document conditions, etc.

Silver Spring has been an answer to prayer for our family. The staff is wonderful and the facility is new and very very clean. My mother is well taken care of and is flourishing there. We couldn’t be happier.

Silver Spring Personal Care Home is a beautiful, modern, and very clean facility with a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers good variety, and many staff members are hardworking and dedicated to the residents’ care. Our family member’s transition had some challenges, which is why I’m giving four stars instead of five. However, management responded with professionalism, grace, and compassion. Their willingness to listen and make improvements speaks volumes about their commitment to quality care. Overall, Silver Spring is a well-run community, and I would recommend it to families…

My 100 year old mother has stayed here numerous times while my husband and I travel. She loves it and we are happy that she is safe and well cared for. The food is good and the facility is clean. All the staff are helpful and friendly. Highly recommend !

Very Nice facility, friendly and helpful staff.

It's a beautiful facility, but awful management since day1. It's literally a revolving door , they don't respect there staff, hire and fire , and have agency constantly in and out who are unfamiliar faces to residents and that's there homes. They have been on a glove shortage for almost a month and we barely have enough to complete tasks, we were told we "use" to many! Not to mention, not enough linen to wash residents. The state is constantly in and out, it's a personal care facility and they have far to many residents there that are skilled and have dementia and require full care and assistance all day and night, and the pay doesn't reflect skilled care. Always running short staffed and management doesn't seem to mind, employees are overwhelmed and underpaid as company staff, yet they pay agency top dollar to come in and out because they don't respect they company employees they do have. They would rather have unfamiliar faces, washing/dressing/changing and showering residents, I think they often forget that that's there homes! I hope they get a grip for the sake of the residents and the care they need. Management is terrible and unprofessional, unapproachable and don't seem to care about any concerns but what they think is important. No wonder most there employees are miserable and messy, look who they are working for! When the marketing director took over, we were promised we would get residents that were fit for personal care, a lie. Now we have a wellness director who sits in her office all day, unresponsive to our calls and texts, unprofessional and unapproachable, nothing changed since last facility she's worked at. And mind you, Oscar the grouch maintenance man, who's unapproachable and grouchy because he's a one man team. Place is a disaster, the state will be in and out of there, nothing will ever change. I will miss the residents, other than that..that place is a headache. Rob, you have a beautiful facility but your letting bad management tear it apart! As much as your in there and around those residents, I think you should ask them there concerns! You might hear what they voice to some of the employees

My parents have been at Silver Spring since April. I was at once impressed with the facility. It’s beautiful, light and bright and at the same time feels very welcoming. There are also great outdoor spaces for the residents to enjoy. The staff has been wonderful. My parents get great care. The whole of the Neidlinger family are extremely involved with making it an amazing place. They have been incredibly helpful to my family and are on site daily interacting with everyone and giving a personal touch. There are tons of activities and special guests coming in to engage the residents. I can’t say enough good about Silver Spring. It’s not like any other facility I’ve ever experienced and I have great peace of mind having family there.

This home for your loved ones offers first rate care in a unique setting. Each resident enjoys a private room with a few rooms equipped with an efficiency kitchen. The entry to each guests room is adorned by its own virtual “porch” making it feel more like the front door to your home. Plenty of activities including a gym for physical therapy are provided to the residents. Social time is enhanced with the large open dining room. Various entertainment or just getting to know each other is enjoyed in the common living room around a large fireplace. If you have a family member or friend who needs round the clock care, I encourage you to consider the Silver Spring personal care center!
