My mother moved into Renaissance 2 months ago. The very first thing that struck me was how friendly everyone was. There has not been one time anyone has been unkind no matter what kind of day they were having. The care is exceptional. Although my mother can do many things on her own everyone is there to lend a helping hand. The site is clean and she enjoys the food. Everyone is very encouraging with regards to the activities and she is now starting to take part. When she first moved in we had many questions. Every answer was given with a smile . Although my mother can do many things on her own everyone is there to lend a helping hand. The site is clean and she enjoys the food. Everyone is very encouraging with regards to the activities and she is now starting to take part. When she first moved in we had many questions. Every answer was given with a smile . But the thing that surprised me the most was how accommodating they were. She was too short to see into the bathroom mirror so they put a full length mirror on her wall. The bed was too high so they removed the box spring and gave her a bunkie board. No matter what she asked, it was done. That kind of attentiveness is hard to find. Although it’s only been two months, there is no question in my mind we made the right choice.

I toured Renaissance Home Forks, and there were only about 25 residents. They had everyone together: seniors and people who needed more care. I didn't feel that was the right fit for me. I would rather be in a more active senior place and a separate assisted living. It seemed like everything was together, and I wasn't happy with that situation. The facility was extremely clean. I met a few residents, and they seemed very friendly. It was a very nice place, except that it was small. The person who took me around was friendly and gave me a lot of information. I went to Renaissance Home Forks. They got a lady who was very nice. She showed me around, and she apologized. She just said, "This is a holiday and everybody's off" and then she made an excuse that she didn't know I was coming. The staff did her best. She was called out of nowhere to take me around. She tried her hardest to make my visit comfortable. She was the only good part of it. It was shabby, rundown, and needs painting. The whole place needs to be redecorated. I saw the menu, but I didn't eat anything. They texted me that I was to come on July 4th at 1:00, and there was nobody there.…

They should have made it another day, but still, the place was in bad shape. They should invest some money in fixing it up, and it might sell better.

I toured Renaissance Home Forks. It was very good. We were more than satisfied. Steve, who gave us the tour, did a great job and answered our questions. The apartment was more than reasonable. It had a nice space. They showed us a lounge room and the dining hall. They showed us several different rooms. We got to speak with the manager a little bit, and the chaplain.

I like the dining room of Renaissance Home Forks the best. The facility seemed very nice and very clean. The kitchen was very nice, too. There's one common area that has a TV and some chairs. Everybody was nice. I liked the place. Everything was good.

Renaissance Home Forks was nice, but the rooms weren't set up too good. It was a smoking facility. People smoke and I don't like smoke. As soon as I walked in the door, I smelled smoke. I met one staff member and he was nice. The building was under construction, so there was a lot of construction going on, so it was not the best. The rooms were a good size.

Renaissance Home Forks was very nice but they don't have a kitchen and I like to cook. So that's a negative for that one. I prefer to have my own kitchen. The building was very nice. I liked it. It was a very nice facility in a nice location. It's close to things. I almost would not need a car, because my car is costing me lots of money between the insurance and the car payments. The gentleman was very nice and very helpful. We sat and talked for a while until I had to leave. I was impressed with that. They have a room for dining and activities. I've talked to another gentleman who's been there over a year, and he likes it. Were it not for the no kitchens, I considered that facility a strong possibility. Other than that, it was wonderful and I liked the location. You could walk to a grocery store or shops and it wasn't right in the middle of things. It was in a nice area that wasn't too heavily trafficked or built up. Not quite rural but not quite suburban either.

Very unprofessional and sub standard compared to other assisted living facility’s in the surrounding area. Bare bones of an assisted living facility with food that is equivalent to what a school cafeteria would serve. They do not offer any professionally printed literature explaining their services etc and their contract is printed from a copier.
