My parents lived in the Greensburg villa from 2012 until they went home to God, my dad in 2015, on the date of Epiphany. My mother about 14 months ago. I was the one who gifted the billiard table to you. I shall, when the time comes, will apply for residency at the Greensburg home.

My mother in law moved into Redstone Highlands (Greensburg) on 7/8/2022 and passed away this month (7/2026). We were very pleased with her care, the staff, her meals, the beauty shop, gift shop, activities department, church services (they have a chapel), and more. Donna from the activities created a beautiful photo album that we will cherish even more since she's passed. I honestly cannot think of a bad thing to say. They made my mother in law feel at home and even got her to like BINGO. The private rooms are spacious and clean, there are always many items to choose from for lunch and dinner…

The private rooms are spacious and clean, there are always many items to choose from for lunch and dinner meals. The dietary staff really catered to her, sometimes giving her three different meals when she felt like being difficult. They even took her on the Redstone bus to the mall through the "Make a wish'' foundation. That was very special as she was in a wheelchair and we were no longer able to take her out for the day like we had in previous years. The staff became more like family. We are very grateful to have had her living at Redstone for the last years of her life.

Very nice facility and accommodations. Just some issues with the TV system and getting the dietary meals correct when moving from one room to another. Tried 5 times to reach my father’s nurse station. Returned to voicemail four times and then was transferred back to the wrong floor.

I was only on service a very short time. I really enjoyed my nurses.

I think its important to note that many of the reviews here are addressing things like the food choices being tone-deaf, or the interview process, which are not relevant to the level of care patients receive at Redstone. If you focus on the more recent reviews for patient care they are largely positive. Its ok for people to be upset but its really not an accurate review of the actual service. In that regard, our experience with my moms care has been fantastic. She is currently recovering from a hip fracture here. She has been at a few facilities in Western PA over the past few years, and this is far and away the best. The staff are all incredible and very attentive. They make my mom laugh, and deal with stressful situations with grace and humor. I love ALL the aides but Kandi, Sam, Kelly and Breanna have really stood out to us. I actually enjoy going in every day to see them while my mom is there. The facility is beautiful and except for the rare room, odor does not waft into the halls. Only so much you can do with regular incontience after all. The campus is really beautiful. We love that they have a courtyard with butterflies, flowers and bird feeders right outside their rooms, and that they have the option for religious services and a lovely chapel for patients who are interested. There are also lots of other regular activites. The food has oscillated between ok and great, which we were pleasantly surprised by. Its worth noting that I wondered why it is so much better, and I learned through research that Redstone is the rare facility that staffs not only above state-required minimums, but at 2x the required state minimum. This means less overwork for and less stress on the staff, and it shows in their demeanor and attention to the patients. At previous facilities my mom was left alone for hours of the day, despite their glossy appearance. Here, she rarely waits but a couple minutes for care. 5* across the board for the team here. I hate that she has to be in a facility but this is the best around by far.

I went to visit a family friend and during my visit I seen they had "Soul Food" at the bistro... IT WAS THE MOST RACIST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN! Fried chicken, greens and watermelon!!! Are you kidding me!!!! You claim you wanted to celebrate black history month, but this is not celebrating. This is profiling! Could you imagine if they wore sombreros and had taqitos and hot sauce and during Hispanic heritage month, like that's not celebrating heritage, that's profiling. Instead they could talk about history, talk about MLK, Rosa parks, Dorothy Vaughn, Mae Jemison, James Derham. Like make a nice pamphlet, teach culture and history. I'm not even African American and I found what they did extremely distasteful! Spread knowledge not ignorance! It's not hard, have common sense! It's 2025!

Ah yes, ‘Soul Food Friday’ because clearly, the only thing that defines an entire culture is a plate of fried chicken and collard greens, right? This post is the perfect example of the kind of tone-deaf, stereotypical nonsense that was a daily reality for me at Redstone. It’s almost impressive how comfortable some workplaces are with blatant cultural appropriation and discrimination. But hey, if reducing a rich cultural tradition to a simple meal is how they ‘celebrate diversity,’ then I’m glad I’m no longer a part of it. It’s 2025—maybe it’s time to stop assuming you know what any group of people ‘should’ be eating, and start actually respecting their cultures. I am deeply offended by the ‘Soul Food Friday’ post. It’s important that we stop making assumptions about any group’s culture and work toward an environment that celebrates true diversity and respects cultural identities.

We have settled on Redstone Presbyterian SeniorCare. I like that the people that are caring for my husband are very conscientious, friendly, positive, and helpful. The facility is very clean. They clean the room every day. They have cafes, they have a music room, and they have activity rooms where children can entertain themselves a little bit. There are fireplaces and sitting areas. It's very, very pleasant. Everyone is very caring, genuinely. My husband says the food is OK. It looks like a nice variety. They have a lady that runs a little cafeteria, and she makes the food fresh, and it's excellent. My husband had just moved to personal care, but he had an episode that landed him back in the hospital. He is going back to Redstone. So as far as activities go, all I've seen him do is OT and PT, but they offer things that he has not engaged in. Regarding value for money, it seems fair to me.
