Northland Heights was very accommodating during my husband's respite stay. He was welcomed kindly by the staff and other residents. He also received excellent occupational and physical therapy while he was there. I would recommend Northland Heights to all caregivers who are looking for a facility to provide respite for you and your loved one.
Fantastic community! Sarah is great!!
My family toured for my grandma. It is such a positive and nice place. We loved it😊
One of their busses just turned around in my driveway, nearly taking out the mailbox and guardrail. Tried to call the number on the bus and the number listed here on Google. No answer, and no ability to leave voicemail. Tell your bus drivers not to turn in random people's driveways. I drive a similar sized vehicle for a living and would get fired for doing this. Maybe get a phone you can answer, too.
Sarah has been wonderful to work with. She is very knowledgeable and was able to help my family in their time of need. I would recommend her to any who is looking
Very clean and friendly. Highly recommended!
My mother-in-law has moved into Northland Heights Located in North Hill. We like the fact that all the rooms are private. They're all apartment-sized rooms with their own bathroom. This place used to be a Holiday Inn hotel, and it was revised and changed over during COVID. It's only five years old on the inside that way. It's all been renovated. It's very clean. There are no shared rooms. They have different-sized studio rooms that you can get. So that was one nice feature we liked about it. They have five to six daily activities for them to do. They have some occasional outings. Yesterday, they went to Rivers Casino. They have a restaurant-style dining area with small tables and four chairs per table. You get a choice of two entrees per meal. Like for lunch, it might be a sandwich and a hot meal. You can also have either a soup or a salad and drinks. At dinners, they get a choice of two hot meals and then two sides to come with it and a dessert. They have an ice cream parlor. It's all-inclusive, and it's open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays after lunch. They can go in and get an ice cream cone or a bowl of ice cream. It's a very clean, nice facility. There is lots of outdoor seating for them, like patios and porches. There are no restrictions to going in and out of there. You can take your own place and make it as homey as you can. They have housekeeping and linens. They assist them with showers two days a week. On shower days, while they're in the shower, they change all the bedding. They change the sheets, the pillowcases, and all that stuff. If there's laundry to be done, they do that room's laundry by itself and then bring it back to the room. You don't have to put your names, but of course, the family can do it also. The price was another factor; it was very reasonably priced. The admissions director was very thorough. The people we've met there have been very nice. My mother-in-law has only been there for 24 hours, and we were only in there for about 8 of those 24 hours. We did not have any of the food ourselves, but it all looked good. They look like good meals. Like last night, it was Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Or they can have chicken breasts, mashed potatoes, and green beans, and then two different choices of puddings for dessert. There is coffee, tea, water, and lemonade for drinks. Also, it's accessible to them 24 hours.
