My family member went to Normandie Ridge for rehab and had a great experience. Staff kept him clean and cared for. He got therapy and got strong enough to come back home! Thank you to all the staff and everyone involved! We are grateful and would choose Normandie again if ever needed
Amazing staff amazing people residents are quiet, happy very clean
We wanted a CCRC, and NR seemed to be more financially stable than the other York option. We lucked out that there was a cottage not in high demand. It’s been modified for us, and we really love it. I feel settled, and relieved there will be options when I slow down.
My mother was a resident at Normandie Ridge for almost 4 years, starting in memory care and ending in skilled nursing. The care she received was excellent and I highly recommend this facility. They are not perfect and have the same staffing issues as every other facility, but the overall care is very good and the facility is very clean. I believe the care my mother received in the last weeks of her life was above and beyond any other facility. The staff could not have been more kind, caring and attentive to her and our family.
Personal were are kind, wife was there for short term rehab and pain management , was stuck in a small room with a long term resident that kept her awake all night, do not understand why they cannot put short term rehab persons together, there menu planning to choose your meals is horrible, wife would tell them what she wanted but would get something different, if she ordered a waffle for breakfast ,it would come with no butter or syrup, call bell wait times not great, there meal delivery and times for meals, very bad, food was ok but many times barely hot due to there delivery system, had to ask for chair too visit due to small area, unfortunately had to check wife out before rehab completed, brought her home and I will take care of her with good meals and pain control, and personal care, in home therapy will come to help with mobility since fall and back surgery. best rehab service previous time was wellspan apple hill rehab, so sad we can not have more facilities like that, did not want to be negative about this stay but all truful !
If I could give no stars I would. Horrible place. In skilled nursing the rooms are filthy, toilets are not properly cleaned, none of maintenance is actually certified they put things together there Selfs, horrible attitudes, company does not give raises, people that have been there for 10, 15+ years making $15. Absolutely horrible, not to mention the outrageous insurance price. Would not recommend ever working here unless you’re fine with making 15 forever no matter what department you are in. Executive director of this place in particular does not care about staff whatsoever. They do not follow proper protocols and I have reported to OSHA. I recommend country meadows or any other community For your loved one!! Update: 05/30/25 Wow, I just read this article this morning and it was shocking. So sad to see this facility is just as horrible as when I used to work there. I remember cleaning in this nice woman’s room. She was always so kind. So sad. I hope this family sues for everything they possibly can, so much so that the place closes.
Never regretted moving my Dad here. The staff and residents are like one big family. They have activities for everyone and they always have new things going on!! Thanks for all you do to make a place for seniors. If your looking for a place for a love one look no further ..you won't be sorry!! Keep it up NR staff you all go above and beyond we are forever grateful for you all!!
Mother was there about a week and everything she had been working towards while at the rehab hospital was undone. She ended up back in the hospital, I got a phone call from the social worker before she was even admitted to the hospital. Asking if they were holding her room and it would be over $400 a day to hold the room. Never asked if she was ok, no compassion whatsoever. It was all about the money, they could care less about the people under their care. I will never be fooled by ratings again.
