MY FATHER STAYS THERE FOR OVER 2 YEARS NOW AND HE IS WELL TAKEN CARED BY THE WHOLE STAFF
My mom is a resident there and she was on the first floor. The social worker asked me if my mom would like to be moved to the 2nd floor. She said I could say no. She said they need their room for rehab patients. I said my mom is doing well now and she likes her roommate so no- I don't think it's a good idea. Plus I noticed there were many empty rooms so that wasn't the real reason. And I found out that there are several residents on the first floor that have been living there for 3 years. A week later- a different social worker left a message on my machine saying they're moving my mom today.…

Plus I noticed there were many empty rooms so that wasn't the real reason. And I found out that there are several residents on the first floor that have been living there for 3 years. A week later- a different social worker left a message on my machine saying they're moving my mom today. I called her back- answering machine- I left a message saying I said no to this move. Then I called and asked for the head nurse. She said she asked my mom and her roommate and they both said yes. She asked if I give my approval for my mom. I said if she wants to then yes. A couple minutes later my mom called and asked why I approved this because she said no. I heard her roommate in the background say she said no, too! I said the nurse told me both of you said yes. I went to visit later and neither was happy. Her roommate said she felt rushed and pressured so she said yes then she was so upset she was crying all day. What kind of place and what kind of people are working there who lie to their residents and their relatives just to pressure them to get what they want??!! This is indefensible. This place is not great in any way but the first floor is at least better than the second one. They should not have to be forced to go to a different floor and a different room. They should both be returned to their room on the first floor.
Very disturbing place to be people don’t talk English. The nurses have party time at the desks They ignore the patients. The food is the most disgusting unidentifiable meals just not a good place and not even clean.
I cannot say enough good about the nursing care my family member received. The Business Office team is great also,. Thank you!
My dad was recently at mountain city in the white building, floor one, and the staff was incredible to him and my brother and I. Wonderful, caring nurses and cna’s!
I have lived at Mountain City for almost five years and have nothing but positive things to say. I have found staff to be helpful, compassionate and knowledgeable. Dietary does a good job with meals and snacks, giving us choices as to what we want to eat. We have activities everyday giving us something to look forward to. We paint, play bingo, do trivia and many other things. We have a hairdresser who comes in every week, providing us with cuts, styles and even color. Our rooms are cleaned daily, laundry does an excellent job with our clothes and the maintenance department works hard to keep the building in top notch form. The CNAs (who we have the most contact with) are kind, friendly and hard workers. They take great care of us and seem to enjoy doing it. There is a monthly meeting where we can air out grievances, praise worthy employees and ask any questions we may have. There are trips to Walmart, local restaurants and last month we had a cookout. All in all it's a nice place to be. I feel at home here; welcome to safe and loved.
Administration is great to work with, and the Staff are amazing with my Mother, so caring and compassionate.
I spent 26 months at the facility and was treated well.I consider some of these ppl family
