My husband and I moved into a lovely apartment two years ago. He has Parkinson’s and Parkinson’s dementia. We’ve had a few small ups and downs here, but I can truthfully say everyone who has care for my husband (now skilled memory care) has been a pleasure to work with. And, I’ve made wonderful friends who have helped me through some tough moments and decisions.
DON’T MOVE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. If I could leave zero stars, I would. All of these retirement facilities are the same: FOR PROFIT. They don’t care about your loved ones well-being. They will suck their funds dry and milk their assets for all they’re worth, and when the money runs out they make up excuses to move them to their isolated “memory care” wings to wither and die alone. I can say that because that’s exactly what’s happening with my grandmother there. All I can say is read the fine print of the contracts before moving your loved ones here. Once it is signed, your loved one has ZERO…

You don’t care, you just want their money.
Excellent Services.....
My husband and I, along with our dog Bella, moved into an apartment in the residential community at Messiah Village a year ago and we all just love it. Before moving, in anticipation of possible future needs, we researched nursing homes on Medicare and found Messiah Village was the only 5-star skilled care facility on the West Shore. We want to award our Resident Life residents, staff, and facilities 5 stars too! We wish we had moved here years ago.
“I love living at Messiah Village. As I sit and look around my lovely apartment that I designed from flooring, walls, kitchen cabinets and countertops, and more, I have such contentment. Moving to Messiah 2½ years ago was one of the best life decisions I have ever made. The residents and staff are so friendly and kind and we have lots of fun with educational, spiritual, physical, social. and stimulating things to do, including an emphasis on wellness. At Messiah Village, the residents are the #1 priority, not profit! On our beautiful campus are 4 restaurants, including one in my apartment community where I dine every night on healthy delicious meals using the $200 dining dollars we are given monthly! I have complete peace of mind as I continue my “twilight” journey that if I outlive my financial resources], I will be cared for with great love and kindness at Messiah, until the end of my life.”
It's a nice facility However it's an awful place to work. They do not have their priorities in order and you are just a number to them. I was verbally harassed for months by a male resident, and no support was given from any one.
Horrible! Not only was the nursing staff unresponsive, it the food sucked! THEN they took ALL the clothes I packed & put sticky labels on everything! I mean socks & panties. Awful-I’ve been home for nearly 6 months, and I CANNOT get these horrible things off!
This place is greedy with their money. Obvious favoritism towards certain employees from management. Does not care about residents quality of living , just making more money for the higher ups
