Halcyon of Bridgeville in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania offers assisted living and a dedicated memory care neighborhood for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Living arrangements emphasize independent daily routines with options for more support as needs change; a trained care team assists with personal care and routine tasks while residents are encouraged to spend their days according to personal preference in a community setting.
The community also provides short-term respite stays to support recovery or transitions back home and to reduce the risk of hospital readmission. Programming and the memory care neighborhood are described as tailored to cognitive needs, and staff training is highlighted as part of delivering day-to-day assistance and supervision rather than clinical guarantees or endorsements.

I am so grateful to Halcyon for the care they gave my father-in-law during the last month of his life. Keith was able to assess Carl (my father-in-law) quickly which was critical since Carl's other rehab facility wasn't the right fit. We felt like we had no options, but Keith helped us find one. The staff in the memory care unit was exceptional. Friendly, empathetic, and attentive. They always stopped to take our questions despite how busy they were. They would tell us that everyone liked Carl and would go out of their way to secure him a lunch or dinner he would eat if he didn't like what…

They would tell us that everyone liked Carl and would go out of their way to secure him a lunch or dinner he would eat if he didn't like what was on the menu. These health care workers have such a hard job. I don't know how they do it but thank God they do. When Carl passed, they were kind and sympathetic. Thank you to Keith, Justin, Paige, the RNs, aides, med techs---everyone. John the maintenance man; the chef, whom we met the first day --I'm sorry I can't remember your name. You all made a very tough time a little easier.
My husband was a patient at Halcyon in Bridgeville for his final days. I visited several facilities before I decided on Halcyon. It was the right choice for him The nursing staff, the leadership and the maintenance folks were awesome. The place was maintained well, always clean and fresh. And the food was nutritious. A good choice.

The facility is clean. And always decorated for the holidays. They have daily activities from bingo, crafts & movies. They try & keep them interactive. The food is bland hospital food. But it has to be. But it's not bad. The staff nurses are nice. The admin staff could get back to families a little faster.
Beautiful community, sweet employees
working here really was one of my favorite jobs, i cannot say enough about my coworkers as i have watched them break their backs and work so hard to provide the most excellent care to the residents. the nursing side of halcyon is second to none. amber sam mariela chloe asia kya kayla and a few others are always there with a smiling face ready to help you and your loved one. although the way the RN treats his aides that aren’t “favorites” is disgraceful. the activities department is amazing for the AL floor but MC is neglected time and time again. it has been pointed out for months but nothing has been done to fix it. the “activities” up on memory care mostly consist of a youtube video or bingo, nothing that really stimulates their brain. the kitchen is amazing always serving amazing food. Nancy creates an amazing menu and D/Janet do an excellent job providing a culinary experience that tastes good and smells good. housekeeping keeps the place practically spotless and smelling fresh. as someone who worked here i can truly say that the aides and med techs will care for your family members like they are their own. i can’t even count how many of the residents i considered to be family.
Halcyon of Bridgeville seemed to care about their residents. My husband was very happy when he was there. They had him playing bingo, which was more than at the prior facility, and he ate well. The facility was clean. The residents seemed very happy. I was very impressed. It's just unfortunate that he fell. It's not their fault though. They just turned their back on him for an instant, and he fell. That had happened at home, so I knew that could happen there. I did not try their food, but I saw their food, and it was very good. The staff was helpful. My husband had Lewy body dementia and it requires different approaches than other dementia issues and were very knowledgeable about it, which is one of the reasons I chose them. They were very interactive with the residents and they didn't allow them to just sit there and be vegetables. They interacted with them and they had them doing the things they could do.
It was a difficult decision having our mom leave her home. Halcyon’s care, compassion, community and personal touch removed all concern. My mom laughed and said “it’s like a resort”. There was never a doubt she was getting the attention she needed, and it was done with dignity and an insightful understanding of who my mom was as a person. 100% recommend.
