I lived there for 2 months. It was one of the worst places I have ever had to be in they talked a good talk but when I got there total neglect. So glad they are closing so no one else dies under there care.
Fox Subacute Clara Burke at Plymouth Meeting is absolutely abominable. Patient called me for help because she couldn't breathe, and no one would respond to her call bell. I called the front desk for an immediate response by respiratory, then returned for a video conference with the patient. I witnessed an frantic attempt to suction her without success. I requested that this patient be sent to the nearest hospital. I was told that her condition was do to anxiety, and she would be given a sedative. I demanded that she be sent to the hospital, and I was told by the head nurse that they would not…

I requested that this patient be sent to the nearest hospital. I was told that her condition was do to anxiety, and she would be given a sedative. I demanded that she be sent to the hospital, and I was told by the head nurse that they would not do this. If I wanted her to be seen in the ER, I would need to call 911 or the police. I assured her that I would be calling 911. By the time police and ambulance arrive, she was being loaded into an ambulance. At Chestnut Hill Hospital, mucous plugs were discovered in her bronchial tubes and leaks were discovered in her tracheal collar. She spent approximately one week in the ICU and refused to return to Plymouth Meeting, due to fear for her life!
Excellent specialized care for residents on long term ventilators. Respiratory therapists around the clock. To date, No COVID-19 in any residents. An amazing feat!!
These are some very caring sweet people. Took care of my brother for months. They do the best they can under the circumstances. highly recommend
Awful facility . Dirty . Smells . No pulmonologist on staff , yet it’s a vent facility- not very beneficial . Very high patient to staff ratios . Poorly ran facility . Upper management is awful .
Extremely poor and neglectful. Ventilator bound in a vegetative state, my sister was in pain and room temperaure was extremely cold she had goose bumps and only a sheet to cover her. I had to confront the staff nurse about this often. Nurse was annoyed at my requests to please have the temperature in the room adjusted and please have her covered with a blanket. Nurse administrator was rude and co decending. The facility was unkept, outdated, and had an unpleasant odor. The over-all atmosphere was depressing with staff arguing and unhappy.
The nurses here rock!!!
This place is horrible. I wouldn't store my mother's ashes in this place let alone a human being. There were wires sticking out of outlets on the walls, it smells of urine, patients are piled into a room and nurses do not take the time to cover their personal areas to protect the patients dignity. My mother's urine bag and bile bag were completely full and she now has a UTI. Her back up oxygen tank was empty, some help that will be in an emergency. The front door is supposed to be locked for safety, I went Fri, Sat, Sun and the door was wide open. Not one person greeted me or even inquired who I was or why I was there. The staff lacked professionalism, several were even openly flustered with patients in my presence while I was visiting my mom. It was horrible. I took my mother out.
