The location of this nursing home is great considering it’s in a neighborhood which makes it more home like. The down side is the staff do not respect the neighborhood. They drive like a bat out of hell almost hitting the neighbors. They act as if they are the only people in this neighborhood. It’s truly a shame. This neighborhood is a big walking and dog friendly space. Now I will say this isn’t an always thing but it is frequent enough that I took the time to write this. If they don’t treat the neighborhood with integrity when their managers aren’t looking how would they treat your loved…

They drive like a bat out of hell almost hitting the neighbors. They act as if they are the only people in this neighborhood. It’s truly a shame. This neighborhood is a big walking and dog friendly space. Now I will say this isn’t an always thing but it is frequent enough that I took the time to write this. If they don’t treat the neighborhood with integrity when their managers aren’t looking how would they treat your loved ones when no one is looking? For an example the gold car pulling into work a little before 9:00 with the back driver side of her car dented. I’m so tired of the staff driving way too fast and almost hitting myself, neighbors and dogs. I have experienced it and I have witnessed this happen to neighbors too. Enough is enough control your staff.
This is in reference to your response to my previous rating in which you stated that a tree was planted. It would be wonderful if this were true. However, there must be a misunderstanding because there is no newly-planted tree. See the photo, taken today.
I hope the management of this facility are better caregivers than they are neighbors and that they treat their residents and families better than they treat their neighbors. I live directly behind the facility and several times over the past two years I have made a simple request: to plant a tree to replace a large tree, in a line of trees dividing their property from my community, that died. The gap in the trees affects my quality of life. To date, my requests have been ignored.
When my mother joined the community we were thrilled. After 2 months the staff left and things went downhill. My mother fell out of bed and was injured. Nobody called me. She had bruises and her spine was fractured. When my mother died in her bed at night nobody called all day to let me know she wasn't okay. Not 1 management person spoke to me nor called me when she died. I was there for a week cleaning out her room and nobody stopped to see me except for 1 nurse. Very disappointing.
Wonderful Team at Celebration Villa of York! Be sure to meet our residents who are on the welcoming committee making new residents feel at home! Call the Sales Director Lesa for a guided tour! They are blessed to have her senior living expertise on the team!
My unfavorable review was taken down from the website. I had posted it last year. They cannot deliver what they promise. Food is unhealthy, missed medication, med techs not well educated, Safety concerns.
Well, if placing a loved one here anytime after September make sure to ask how much the cost will increase in the next year. We were blindsided when a month after mom was here to find out they were increasing every cost by 10% in the new year. Care we were told could be met is not. Major staffing changes continue to occur but we are not formed of them. We just find out. Bottom line if I had to review this place I would not recommend it for someone that really needs assistance on a daily basis. We are in the process of looking at other places
Caring and family oriented. Very welcoming to the residents. They work to include folks and help them adjust to their new environment.
