My mother has been a resident in the Forest household for 6 years. She has received exemplary care and her every need is met. The staff is extremely kind, and have kept her extremely healthy and well monitored , as she has never been hospitalized or had a fall. There are a myriad of activities to engage her brain and she has met many wonderful friends at Artman. I can not say enough good things about her care by all the employees (medical and non-medical).
I’m so grateful to the staff at Artman for the care they gave my Aunt Joanne. They were incredibly compassionate and attentive, and it truly made a difference during her stay. She even loved the food—and anyone who knows her knows she’s very particular about cleanliness, so it meant a lot that she felt comfortable and thought everything was spotless. I also really appreciated how friendly the staff was and how well they kept me informed. Thank you for treating her with such kindness.
Terrible food, understaffed, one assistant for every ten patients and one nurse for every forty. Hospice personnel are good but not enough of them and there should be more frequent visits. Some of the staff really do know what they're doing. Totally bedridden with a fractured pelvis. Wish I could be more positive.
The food continues to be underwhelming. I’m not sure what has changed at Artman, but the current experience doesn’t match the ratings. The care and quality of service patients receive deserves a closer look.
I will keep this brief, but this place is great. I have no complaints. If I ever needed rehab or care, I hope I'm at a facility as mice as this one. Not only is it nice, but the staff is wonderful. In this day where healthcare staff are asked to do more with less and rehab staff has to point out service documentation to maintain unrealistic productivity, I appreciate all that you have done for my family. At the end of the day, your staff demonstrated grace and professionalism, and I thank you!
Artman is a wonderful facility. We searched many locations after my 98 year old father broke his hip and it was clear he could not return home. While touring, we watched from afar as one of the nurse's aids lovingly fixed a resident's hair and clothes, unaware that we were watching. That solidified our decision. Throughout my dad's 3 years there, we experienced the compassion of all staff...nurse's aides, activities director, nursing supervisor, marketing staff, dietary, receptionists, clergy, administration, etc. Communication was excellent and there was never a time when phone calls went unanswered. The Pastor was sensitive to the various religious backgrounds of the residents and worked hard to be inclusive to all. Staff seemed to function as a family and many had been there for many years. The Becoming Center, the gym on the premises, was an added bonus, with friendly staff available to help with individualized exercise programs. My dad was a resident until he entered hospice there at the age of 101. They cared compassionately for him with dignity in his same room -- hospice staff and "his familiar nurses" together until the end. We will always be grateful to Artman for the peace of mind they provided in his final years. Call MaryAnn McLaughlin, the marketing director, for a seamless, calm, helpful decision-making and admission process.
Hello, I just wanted to let you know my mom's at Artman for assisted living. She's been there since November. My mom has received excellent care at Artman the place is very clean. The staff is fantastic. I can relax at night knowing that my mom is is safe, and getting excellent care. They have great activities for them to keep them busy. I can't say enough how much I really appreciate the staff. If you have a loved one and you're thinking about putting them to us for assisted living artman's the place.
If you have any dietary issues, stay far away from Artman. My sister was recently in Artman to rehab from surgery. She has celiac disease and is extremely sensitive to gluten. It was a rare meal that was actually complete and edible. One morning they brought her cream cheese only. No GF bagel, or GF toast, another day they brought her a fruit cup dessert. When she got to the bottom, she found a gluten filled cake, another day they brought her lunch on regular bread, then there was the evening that she asked for chicken for dinner and they brought her cod. They aren’t even close. There are more examples of how they failed handling a severe dietary issue. It’s not hard. When I entertain, most of the food I prepare is GF. I also ensure that I do not cross contaminate any of the foods I am preparing. My sister spoke with the RD several times but nothing changed. They are completely incompetent, clearly need more education about food safety or perhaps they need to furlough these employees that do not take this dietary issue seriously and hire staff that have a true understanding of dietary issues and what it can do to the patients.
