My grandfather resides here and I am very pleased with the cleanliness of this facility. My main concern was cleanliness. Wayne center exceeded my expectations

My dad was a resident at Wayne for many years, and he was always treated with compassion and dignity. Thank you to the staff for taking good care of him!

Where do I start? The first full day my father was at Wayne Rehab my father’s roommate told a staff member that water was on the floor of their bathroom. I witnessed the employee wipe the water off of the bathroom floor using the patient’s bath towel using his foot, and then kick the towel under the sink. Later a respiratory therapist came in to ask my father some health questions. I wondered how a respiratory therapist would not know how to pronounce the word pneumonia. She used the word ammonia!! Yes, ammonia not pneumonia!! How am I supposed to trust he was in good hands when she didn’t even know the correct name of a serious respiratory infection. The following morning my father had to remind the staff to give him his IV medication. Later that night, after 11pm, a staff member woke him up and asked him if they gave him his other daily oral medication. Yikes! That same day I arrived to find my father still in a hospital gown and an over saturated diaper soaked with urine. He was in that diaper for over 24hrs. I rang the buzzer at 4:22 PM and nobody came to answer the call until 5:03. The staff member claimed he was busy. While I visited, no one came to check on either patient in this room. I was there 4 hrs Sunday and 3 hrs Monday. Completely unacceptable. They didn’t ask if he needed water, or anything. The facility was not well kept. Gloves and other trash on the floor, and overall dirty conditions. The shower was missing the handle. Something was all over the window shade. This place isn’t up to the standard of a nursing and rehabilitation facility. The staff is overwhelmed, untrained, and generally unable to provide adequate care.

This place is a part of what is wrong with having to rehab or growing old and needing a place to live. I was here for 2 and a half weeks and it's a sad place for people to go. They surely don't use the money they are pulling in for supplies. At least 2 or three times there were no clean towels or wash cloths and one reason is because they use them to clean up residence after going to the bathroom instead of using bathroom wipes. While we are on the subject of bathroom, hopefully if you ever have to use one of these places they are better at responding when button is pressed because here you could wait for an hour or more for someone to help you to the bathroom or use a bedpan. If you are one of the lucky ones able to get up but need some help getting back into bed well that could be a wait also especially if aid is on a break although it's not every shift, the worse shift here is 11pm-7am. They come in to collect a paycheck and nothing more. It's a chore for the aid to come to the room and if they aid is on break the 3rd shift nurse or nursing supervisor can't be bothered and if they should come to your room they tell you that you have to wait for the aid to come back. Dietary here is an even bigger joke. I've seen toddlers with more food then these people provide for full grown adults. If weight loss if what you want spend a month here. Between the portions and the seasoning you are sure to drop those pounds. I'm not saying you have to give a huge portion but it's no wonder people don't get out for weeks / months on end they aren't strong enough. During my stay here they didn't get my tray right once , but I'm not surprised because they just don't care. Now I'm not saying all the nurses and aid are horrible here there are some who go above and beyond while on shift. I'd like to put their names here because they deserve to be recognized for caring enough to do the job they were hired for and they made my stay so much better. ANISA,CC,ASHLEYD"NEICE,TUMBA , FRANZ , and RHONDA. ( sorry for any misspelled names. The shinning part of this whole stay was for sure PT/OT. They helped me in every way possible. I don't know what I would have done without there help during my stay. So a huge thank you goes out to especially Amy, Marissa and Devon, these ladies now how to do rehab and get you back on your feet. so a huge thank you to them.. Once again thank you to those mentioned.

I am very pleased with the care my Dad is receiving at the Wayne Center. The nursing staff has been very competent and friendly, and great with providing me with updates. The facility is very clean and well kept. The PT staff has been great with my dad, and working him as hard as possible, which is what he wants. The social worker has been so helpful with assisting me with suggestions on care after he is discharged. And the front desk staff is very welcoming!

Reception was great. I am a caregiver coming to see a client admitted for physical therapy. I care for him at his home setting usually.

Our family is incredibly grateful for the therapy department and the exceptional care they provided to our family member. From the beginning, their team showed genuine compassion, patience, and professionalism. They have taken the time to understand his history and tailored a plan to help him make excellent progress. We have seen a remarkable improvement in their strength, mobility and much of that is thanks to the dedication and encouragement of this amazing therapy team. Their kindness, expertise, and commitment to helping patients succeed make a lasting difference not only for those in their care, but for the entire family. We cannot thank them enough for the progress our loved one has made under their guidance."
