Tom I agree with your recent post. However nothing will change until Sen. Picozzi’s and The Urban Housing Committee votes to approve House Bill 1250. The house bill will put a cap on the increases. This a state wide issue. The owners of these communities will continue their price gouging until Harrisburg puts a stop to it. Unfortunately all you get from our representatives in Harrisburg is talk. The residents here should voice their opinions to Harrisburg as well.

One of the best kept secrets in New Hope. Well maintained and friendly people.

Keep paying high fees for inadequate services. Place is over rated. This place is nothing more than a trailer park, that price gouges seniors. Call our state representatives to support House Bill 1250

Buyer beware! We pay more here with rent than we did with total taxes in our former home. Rent fee is ridiculous! They lie to you from the beginning to the end. It’s not the Office people it’s the McKee corporation. Thieves and Liars. There is no transparency with fees and they increase yearly. This year ours is increasing by almost 20%. No real reason. Generic bullet points in a letter. All non-specific, I.e., general “maintenance fees”, increase in trash removal, etc. We had 2 trash days but they got rid of 1, so not sure how it got more costly? Maintenance fees?, they don’t maintain anything on the land renters property. We do and people do a great job of keeping their homes nice no thanks to McKee. They don’t even take care of the lawns for the high rent. Renters have to foot that bill. There is no recourse for discussion on increase in rent. It’s pretty much……if you don’t like it, move somewhere else! That’s nice. They are running scared of bill HR805 which is close to being passed so they are getting their $$$$ while the going is good. This bill will prevent unscrupulous and ridiculous rental increase from unscrupulous landlords who price gouge. Facts.

Living here has it positive points. Fun events for the residents. Neighbors are nice folks. Your land rent is basically all profit for McKee with very little coming back to the homeowner. Rent increases by $25 or higher each year. Taxes are lower living in New Hope compared to other areas. Add this amount to the land rent and it isn't any cheaper than other places. Never really felt like a homeowner. Miss the people 😢 there but not gerbil living.

I would love to buy there, however, the bylaws strictly prohibit motorcycles of any kind. I believe this is an outdated regulation and should be reviewed. Many active adults over 55 ride and the homes here are nice. I believe more people su h as myself would be interested in purchasing if the regulation was changed. Hopefully it will some day and this narrow minded view of motorcycles can change.

I live here. It’s a great community, people living here are kind and friendly. Fun activities, trips. Land rent is high.

I have my own house at Village of Buckingham Springs, and everything worked out well. The staff was very good to everyone in the area, and the neighborhood is very friendly and very nice. I enjoyed their pool and other activities, they play cards, and they have some trips. It's a 55+ community. There's no food because it's an independent living, so I do my own cooking. It's a very nice place to live if you're independent, but if you require more care, this place won't work. But since I could care for myself and my home, I just hire people to cut the grass and do things like that.
