Tawana in admissions is wonderful, very helpful if she don't know something she will make it her way to find out and get back to you, she answers every time I call she is a great person to have working at your facility.
A great place with great people!
This is another nasty place where patients have bed scores and rashes build up of fealth. If I knew then what I know now my mother would have never been there. Always falling out the bed but, when you talk to them ohhhh everything is fine she's doing good. Next phone call your mother is being rushed to the hospital Ammonia for the 5th time someone please shut this place down. It's just all about the titles.
My Mom has been in this facility for over 1.5 years now and I’m very happy with her care! She is always clean, and very content. The nurses take good care of her! I know she is safe there and that means so much!
They must be finding people to be positive. The staff is horrible and the conditions are awful. My Mom has massive bedacores and neglected and mistreated. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Staff seem like they over worked and underpaid. The residents pay for that. They only clean them when they visiting the doctor. And must differently visit your love one to make sure they alright .
This is not a place you send someone you love, especially for any kind of Rehab or long term care. I personally witnessed horrible dirty conditions and the lack of staff and care for our loved one’s. They are drugged and not allowed to move from the chair or wheelchair they are put in from early morning when they are all woken up and cattled to the one dinning area, where they must stay till bedtime around 8pm. They are given pills first to make them drowsy they keep them all in the hallway (like cattle) lined up in their chairs against the walls being watched by one staff member. Then as they drift they take them to their room and put them into their beds. They are not allowed to take naps during the day in their beds if they get tired . They have to sleep their heads on the tables(with no pillows) either. Most have to wear diapers so they let them sit in them all day long, rather then take them to the bathroom. If you are not their advocating for them to take them to the bathroom because they need to go. They just wet themselves thru the already soaked diaper since morning. They don’t get bathed. They just get rinsed off from the piss that is all over their skin. Once the saturated diaper is removed. I couldn't believe the lack of care & human decency for these patients especially my loved one enduring this. Meal times they put trays in front of them(some don’t even feed themselves because they are so out of it) then they come around and grab the tray “saying I guess you weren’t that hungry tonight” and remove it. I only so one staff member once feeding someone, but most of the time there was nobody making sure they were eating once everything was placed in front of them. They didn’t even try to get them to eat. It made me sick to know this is the norm here. I knew in 3 days I had to get my loved one out of this place. The falling out of bed , not letting them walk when they wanted too! He was so confused and nonsensical most of the time because of the drugs there were constantly giving him ( without consent from his primary or family) he was sent there to gain strength back in his legs (just rehab) and they kept him in a state that made it appear to us that he was getting worse and couldn’t walk. Well my father found a way out! The only thing he could do to get people to listen to what was happening was to escape any way he could. You see my father could walk and is perfectly fine cognitively now! We were just not aware. But once all the drugs got out of his system. He got himself home.. Their objective is all about keeping them sedated and taking away their will so they can get paid!!!!!!! If we didn’t intervene my father would have gotten worse & never got out of there. They even made up lies about him falsified his records so we couldn’t get him transferred to a better facility! Unfortunately with them refusing to release him. We had to wait for help that came in actual evidence That tells the truth of everything they were doing to him. I’m writing to warn anyone who has a loved one here or even to tell anyone considering it. Don’t Bring Anyone to This Place you will regret it!! We were even told by a staff member “to get him out of here “on the first day! Money is the only thing this family owned facility cares about. The longer they can keep them here the more they get paid. Read other reviews and see for yourself!!!!
MS. WAITERS HELPED ME FROM THE BEGINNING WITH MY MOTHER FEELING COMFORTABLE IN HER NEW SURROUNDINGS. EVERYONE IS VERY HELPFUL AND WILL RESOLVE ANYTHING NEEDED. NATE THE NEW ADM., IS ALSO A BIG HELP AND WILL HELP YOU WITH ANY CONCERNS YOU HAVE. MY EXPERIECE WITH STERLING HAS BEEN VERY GOOD. THE WHOLE STAFF IS VERY HELPFUL AND I FEEL GOOD MAKING THE DECISION FOR MY MOM TO RESIDE AT STERLING. ALWAYS A WARM GREETING WHEN YOU ENTER INTO STERLING AND ALWAYS HELPFUL.
My Mom has been here for one year and couldn’t be happier with Sterling. The staff is extremely caring and capable. Tauna was the first person we had contact with when my Mom was admitted. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and made my Mother and myself very comfortable with our decision. There are others I’d like to point out, James, Heather, April, Matthew, Anne Marie, there are others, I just don’t remember all their names, they are all great. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Lorraine who greets you as you come in the door and is very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend Sterling to anyone who asked.
