Lovely community! The leadership team really cares for their residents and I have seen first hand on how they are going above and beyond for them. They have tenure staff that have been there since the beginning and they have made new hires that are bringing in new ideas and activities to keep the residents engaged and happy.

Dear family member on the hunt between a decent value and quality care. If you are considering this facility for a loved one, please reconsider. My father recently passed away after living here for four years, and I witnessed a significant decline in care. When we first arrived, the facility was called Brandywine and provided decent, reasonably priced care. However, after it was sold, ownership cut staffing levels to a minimum, and the facility has recently operated on a provisional license. The facility has changed names three times (Brandywine, Silver Springs, and currently Cura Living), meaning the high Google ratings often reflect the previous ownership rather than the current state of care. If you tour the facility, I strongly recommend asking the staff and yourself the following questions: ASK YOURSELF THE FOLLOWING!!!!!! 1. Cleanliness: Does the second or third floor smell of urine? I frequently observed full urinals left unaddressed due to understaffing. 2. Staff Vetting: Have any current or past employees been convicted of crimes during their employment? Why were safes installed in every room a couple of years ago? 3. Legal Issues: Is the facility currently facing any lawsuits from residents? 4. Turnover Rate: How many wellness directors and executive directors have they had in the last four years? High turnover has severely impacted the consistency of care. 5. Response Times: What is the actual response time for the call pendants? While management claims it is ten minutes, I have personally waited three hours for assistance. 6. After-Hours Security: What happens after the doors lock at 8:00 PM? There have been instances where staff slept through the door alerts, forcing residents to call the police just to get someone to open the door. 7. Medication Management: How many medication errors have been reported to the state over the last 4 years from this building? 8. Hospice Care: Are all external hospice nurses permitted to provide care? I witnessed retaliation against an experienced hospice nurse who was asked not to return after raising valid concerns about staff incompetence. 9. Oxygen Management: Does the staff know how to properly manage oxygen? I regularly found oxygen tank valves left open, wasting the supply and forcing residents to rely strictly on stationary concentrators. 10. Pricing and Value: Is the lower price worth the compromise in care? Management continues to raise rates despite these ongoing issues. 11. Post-Passing Charges: Do they charge daily fees after a resident passes away? Following my father's passing, we were charged an incorrect daily rate of $600 for the two days it took to clean out his apartment. Make sure your loved one doesnt pass on the last day of the month where they dont charge rent but charge you daily. Management can be very convincing, but the quality of care has dropped dramatically. While the staff improved their responsiveness during the final two weeks of my father's life, it was only because I was present every single day. I am sharing this to ensure other families do not experience the same hardships. I strongly advise looking for a better alternative. If you would like more details, feel free to respond and I would be happy to answer some questions. This should get negative 10 stars. Beware in a major major way.
The facility checked all the boxes. It was clean and bright. Very adequate living spaces. Good activity program. Pleasant employees. Beautiful and secure outside area for residents to relax. My tour was very impressive.
RUN, DO NOT WALK, to the nearest exit!!! Get out fast. I don’t really even want to give them a one star, but it’s the lowest rating they allow. This God forsaken place was a nightmare once it became Silver Springs with Cura Living managing it. And don’t believe the good reviews or the company’s responses to the concerns everyone is sharing. They don’t attempt to change their ways and have only increased prices and decreased services. If the smell doesn’t hit you when you enter the memory care unit on the third floor, pay attention to it. My family members were not given proper care, even with me going there all the time. Complaining to the front office staff never helped. They truly don’t care about the residents wellbeing. It’s so sad. The fact that the STATE has issued them a PROVISIONAL LICENSE should speak volumes to those who aren’t aware of the situations going on there. The police have been there multiple times, including yesterday. This is clearly not a good sign. The employee turnover rate is atrocious and the living conditions for the residents is beyond unacceptable. Dirty undergarments laying around with feces even smeared on walls and in bathrooms seems like a health hazard to me. Dirty 3rd floor dining room and filthy kitchen area were horrendous. The frequency of documented UTI’s my family members got had to play a part in their deteriorating health. The lack of staff was obvious but no matter how much we complained, nothing changed. The lack of staff created great pressure on the few that are there. It is impossible for them to give good care under those conditions. Our loved ones get to suffer because of this. Standards of care are not being met. If you truly LOVE your LOVED ONE, investigate thoroughly before you go there. They will sugarcoat everything. It’s up to you to do the real detective work before you leave a loved one alone with them. We never looked back after leaving there. Since leaving, it has been the best decision I ever made for my loved one. They are getting the truly good care that they deserve at this time in their life, when they are counting on others to do the right thing and actually help them. Loving them is a bonus I didn’t even expect. There are several good options in the BLUE BELL area that they could be PLACED. Please take the time to explore. It will save you a lot of unnecessary heartache. God help all of the residents who can’t help themselves. Truly heartbreaking to watch. They changed the name, hoping to hide all the old bad reviews, but we know and we all talk. The TRUTH always rises to the top. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!
If you truly care about your loved one this is not a place to take them especially for memory care. Housekeeping and personal hygiene is atrocious to say the least. Staff are disinterested and leadership is non existent. Staff department heads do not walk the floors or do spot inspections. Corporate will post a standard reply to this but there's a reason they are under a provision license because they are ineffective as well. Numerous complaints are filed with the state. I won't post photos due to decency on my part. Beware.
This place reeks of urine when you walk in the door. Marlaina is very helpful always has a warm smile and generous welcome. Nursing staff doesn’t care about residents. All the years my aunt has been there only one housekeeper actually cleaned her room. I believe she said her name is Ashlei. She went above and beyond as a housekeeper. This place has a lot of work that needs to be done and the state needs to be involved.
This place is a full disgrace ...I've been calling the front desk some time now with no response. They do not assist the residents with their cell phones they just leave them hang as long as their phones are working... Will be reporting them
It has been over a month but Lauren was excellent with helping my aunt move in. She was and still is very nervous moving out of her home of 70 years. She really helped alleviate her concerns and make my aunt feel comfortable. This is an adjustment and there are various personalities that can create confusion but I know she is in a better place.
