Weekends had aids and usually not a nurse. Aids didn't report important care info. at times. If patient was sick, they email the dr and will wait 5-7 days to hear back. No! Call them if it's important and you didn't hear back right away. No one reported a sugar level of 30-40 for over 6 weeks. No help at meals. Aids stay in a room on their phones instead of helping/ assisting people with issues. If someone says once no about something like a shower, they don't ask again. That includes bathing and hair washing. It can be months and was. Toothbrush and tooth paste was still new from Jan - Nov…

Toothbrush and tooth paste was still new from Jan - Nov when she died. She fell and broke her shoulder and wrist that was swollen and black. Took over 12 hours to go to the hospital. Good deal money wise if you have a clear mind and don't need much help. Otherwise they lack on different care. We emailed and talked to the administrator who also takes care of patients many times. We pushed and called the Dr our selves or they probably never would have. For people with a budget the no care levels is huge. People are friendly. Needs managed better and care reported better. Lots of family members and their friends work there. Makes it hard to discipline. Her ring was on her swollen hand at 5 but at 9 when the funeral director arrived it wasn't on. Staff except the administrator didn't ever remember a ring. Funny because she said she held her rings and we realized two other rings had disappeared after Aug some time. What a shame. Glad it's over.
My mother passed away in [date removed], but overall I was very pleased with the Siemon's Heritage community & would highly recommend it. It was clean & cheerful & everyone was very nice & welcoming.
I give it 3 stars because they do not answer the phones and things turn up missing also very pricey
My mother required skill nursing after a series of strokes. Although there are some very lovely people there they're often very much understaffed. They lack processes to keep people informed. And they're software for monitoring patient health is antiquated. For example they do not monitor intake and outtake. They do not monitor electronically bowel movements. They keep track on paper. My mother went six days without a bowel movement and they didn't even know it until we pointed it out. They don't have a process to make sure the proper drugs are given to the proper patient. This is standard practice of most hospitals to scan the patient and scan the drug. We' were not always there but at one point they try to get my mother her roommates medications. My mother had pneumonia and we did not find out about it till after the fact. At one point they gave my mother three different blood thinners when she was only supposed to get one. If your loved one requires skilled care I would not recommend this place. Getting her discharge to hospice facility was a very stressful situation. At first they agree that she could move to the assisted living level. We went to check out the rooms that we were told they changed their mind. This was very stressful as we had to find another option very quickly.
I could not have been more pleased. I am very happy with the facility and the care provided to my mom, I was very blessed to have chosen this community.
We like the overall friendliness of the staff and how caring they are towards our loved one and the other residents. We would like to see more outdoor activities, they have a lot of in house things. We would like to maybe see them go on different outings to some parks or different restaurants. However we would still recommend this community to others.
This personal care home is clean and the girls do a wonderfl job!
This residence is VERY clean! We have never smelled urine when walking down the hall, which we noticed when touring several other personal care homes. Physically it's a beautiful, spacious facility with much larger resident rooms/apartments compared to other personal care homes. The nursing staff and personal care aides are very friendly and caring, and they all work so hard! Overall, the entire staff has been extremely accommodating with my husband's 85- year old parents, who are requiring a lot of attention due to multiple falls and a strong desire for independence. The "selling feature" for my husband and I was that the daily rate remains the same regardless of how much assistance a resident might need. When we toured other personal care homes, services needed for a resident were often itemized, which would be very expensive as someone's health deteriorated. Here, the response from the director was, "We take care of our residents. Whatever they need." We're very pleased with the care my in-laws are receiving. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that they seem a bit understaffed, especially on the weekends. It would also be nice if there were more activities scheduled for the more active residents on the weekends.
