I have worked in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities since 1998. I have seen the good, the bad, and ugly. I recently have had a loved one at Scottdale Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, and now I have seen the best. The rapid response time in emergency situations, The knowledge, the skill, and the empathy and compassion is overwhelmingly a miracle. My loved one had nothing less than amazing things to say about Scottsdale. My loved one and family said how clean the place was, how pleasant and friendly the staff was with the residents and visitors. My loved one said how amazing the therapy department was, how clean the facility always is, raved about the food, was touched by how caring and responsive the nursing department is, The comedy and entertainment that activities has provided, and acknowledged that it takes a wonderful leader to have a wonderful facility like Scottdale. Dave from the therapy department, Josh from therapy department, Heidi the CNA, Mike the nurse, Mary the nurse, Bucky from activities, Courtney the administrator, and so many more, we would like to say a special thank you not only to you but to the entire facility for making such a difficult situation a more peaceful and pleasant experience.
"To the staff at Scottdale Manor: there are no words to describe how my family and I feel about this facility. They took excellent care of both my mother-in-law and my mother before they passed away, both within the same year. The entire staff is incredibly kind and professional. The CNAs go above and beyond—they even went out to buy my mother-in-law Dairy Queen just to make sure she would eat. The therapy group is also awesome; after being hospitalized for months, they taught my mom how to walk again. She eventually walked out of the facility using only a cane that she barely even needed! From the activity director and staff who kept my mother-in-law laughing at bingo, to the kitchen staff who prepared whatever they wanted to eat, everyone was wonderful. I also want to thank the nurses, doctors, and Bristol Hospice. The hospice staff sat with my mother-in-law until the very end, even holding her hand so she wasn't alone. It is the best hospice care I have ever seen.If you have a loved one who needs a facility, this is the place. Hands down." If I could give them a million stars I would do just that! Thank you all so very much Scottdale Manor!
So far I’m impressed. The people have been so wonderful. My husband hasn’t been there that long but compared to the hospital he was in it’s awesome.
My father broke his leg and was admitted to this facility for rehab. Dad and our family are tremendously grateful for the care and support he has received from all the staff during his stay there. They are extremely caring and kind and made it a priority to do everything possible to help him in his recovery.
I visited Scottdale Health and Rehabilitation Center today to donate some artwork, and I was genuinely impressed with my experience. The staff member who buzzed me in was very friendly and welcoming, which immediately set a positive tone. Having visited many skilled nursing facilities over the past 10 years, one thing that has always stood out to me, in a negative way, is the overwhelming odor that is often present. The very first thing I noticed here was the complete absence of that smell. The facility was also exceptionally clean. The administrator, Courtney, kindly gave me a tour of the center. During the visit, I had the opportunity to meet both the physical therapy and occupational therapy staff, who have each been there for over 20 years. That kind of longevity really speaks volumes about the quality of the workplace and care provided. The residents appeared happy, and I was able to observe positive, caring interactions between staff, residents, and visitors throughout the facility. Although I don’t currently have a loved one in need of a skilled nursing facility, I would absolutely place Scottdale Health and Rehabilitation Center at the top of my list if that need ever arises.
The nurses and staff here are nothing short of amazing. They've showed my mother such kindness and attentiveness and my gratitude to them is beyond words. My mother has been dealing with alot of medical issues over the past year due to a cardiac arrest. She has been in and out of hospitals and facilities since then and hasn't gotten any diagnosis or real help at all. This is the first place she has been through her whole journey that I feel has actually cared to help her or figure out what her issues are. This is also the first place she has ever been that she hasn't begged me to come home, actually quiet the opposite where she actually enjoys being there. They bring a great sense of peace knowing that my mother is being cared for and treated with dignity and respect. They have also been there for myself and my family during difficult times we have recently faced. Courtney, who runs the facility is fantastic. She advocates for all who are in her facility and keeps me updated regularly. She is great at what she does and really cares. I just wish more people were like her and then we would have no flaws in our Healthcare system. Thank you Scottdale!❤️
