My mother stayed one night at the facility. In her overnight stay she had several seizures. 911 was not called. The nurses also did not call me, as I was an emergency contact and POA. I was called in the morning about 8:45 am. They wanted to know if they should call Mt. Nittany. They should have called earlier when the seizures first happened. After she wrote a check for $2,040 for the month. I called and let them know she would not longer be a resident there. As per their policy she did not receive a refund. She paid that much money for one night. Please do not let your loved ones go here.…

Couldn't ask for more caring staff that go out of their way to make life on everybody so easy.
This is where you send loved ones to die quicker. Lackluster treatment of tenants. Care is nonexistent.
My wife's grandmother was a resident at Salem Hill, and we always felt that they treated her like family. They always listened to her input on many many many things and she truly felt at home there. We will be sending my wife's parents there when they are ready.
Salem Hill is wonderfully unique in the care they offer. The staff is friendly and efficient. They truly care about their patients and work hard to provide for each patient's needs. Dan and Donna are available and willing to answer questions, field concerns, and they keep a personal watch over the maintainence and operation of their home. My Mother received excellent care there. I am hoping she will recoup from a fall that has placed her in a rehab center to be able to return to her friends at Salem Hill. I recommend this facility to anyone needing assisted living for themselves or a loved one. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated, the food is good, and the care excellent. Five stars to Dan, Donna, and the Staff:-)
