A year ago my Dad moved out and I wanted to change my review with a Place for Mom"s but was unable to . Reward lacked having a generator to help when the lights went out for 6 days, food was spoiled, no safety lights in rooms or on the stairs, etc. During the winter during Flu season, staff was not educated well by owner and didn't have adequate measures to properly take care of sick residents. Not enough staff to clean and take care of laundry. Menus lacked the proper amounts of fruit and vegetables. Staff tried hard to do the best with what they had.

Dad is currently at Reward Senior Care of Turtle Creek. There's so much more that I don't like about it, but at least the owner seems to care, and she will get back to you. They don't have any other outdoor space, but they have a little balcony where people could go out to sit or smoke. They have some activities like bingo and some games. We chose this place because I liked the director. She seemed concerned about the residents. It was also close to my home, and they were updating some things. I'll give the med tech department, which gives out the medication and has to call an ambulance, a 3…

My Dad has been there since July & the owner & staff work very hard to meet his needs. The facility has improved greatly since June; I was told the owner took over in Jan. 2024. Although my Dad has had some laundry issues ( bedding); the owner & staff have worked hard to correct the problem and any other issues I have brought up. The food has improved since the summer & more activities have been introduced. The facility is decorated for major holidays and the resident's birthdays are recognized. The Med techs are busy but doing a great job & maintenance is available as needed. I think all of…

The food has improved since the summer & more activities have been introduced. The facility is decorated for major holidays and the resident's birthdays are recognized. The Med techs are busy but doing a great job & maintenance is available as needed. I think all of the water & heat problems were taking care of before it got cold. Although my Dad used a heater at my home, I understand why it would be very dangerous & a fire hazard in this type of facility. I can see that the owner is steadily improving areas around the facility & definitely for the price, it is a fair to good facility to live in. ( Actual rating 3 1/2 stars).

My aunt has been at Reward Senior Care for almost year now. The owners have made many upgrades to the building and rooms. My aunt likes the food and all the activities they have for the residents. They treat her like she is their family member. I totally am thankful for the care she receives there!

Just wanted to say something that says that the place & workers have improved greatly since it was taken over in January & they are trying very hard to improve the experience for the resident. Cleanliness: it's ok but they could definitely do better in the bathroom & with laundry ( Dad's blankets missing & other people clothes get mixed in with Dad's ). Not enough washable mats for bed available for patients that need them. Friendliness: Most staff are friendly and willing to help. The owner & manager is usually easily assessable & eager to help improve the living experience there. Con: Sometimes the workers are unsure who is suppose to do what but much improved since the last month. Meals: Quality has gotten a little better in the last month; the kitchen staff is wonderful. Con: Meals need to be a little more balanced; just my observation & since my Dad doesn't have teeth & they are aware, he still ends up with things I know he can't eat. Activities are lacking for my Dad. Maybe if just once a week they can have a sport night - highlighting a game on TV. I'm sure difficult to meet everyone's needs. Value for cost: You definitely can't beat it! Also thankful for great Med techs. Since there isn't any nursing staff, they are busy, friendly, but still professional.

Staff are so friendly and the upbeat atmosphere the staff provides is great for the residents the meals are good and the facility smells to good which is a big deal which mean they are cleaning. Staff so friendly so impressed so far will keep you updated.

Some residents do not have heat or hot water!!!! This has been an ongoing issue that has not been resolved and it is now deep into winter! They are not even allowed to have space heaters because it's a fire hazard. So they're just supposed to sit in their rooms and freeze?? What is being done to these residents is cruel and illegal. They allowed new tenants to unknowingly sign up for unheated rooms while it was still summer. Do not let this place get away with that!

I toured at Hillside manor. The lady that showed me around was very nice. The facility was much smaller than [facility name removed]. The food service selections were more customized. She sometimes brought her dog to work. The small private room was very small. At the time there were no structured activities. She said most of the residents know each other and develop their own activities. As it turns out if I had chose them, they ended up closing.
