I live here and really like it 👍please acknowledge my message.
Inadequate care. Understaffed. Unengaging expensive place to be housed. I don't know when they've ever updated carpeting and hallways. Group of sad, unhappy people in the social area with the TV all staring in space. Very depressing.
The Renaissance Home Pinebrook is a small living facility, small enough that they can give individual attention to each resident. They seem to care for their individual needs. My mom is in their assisted living and I think the staff there shows a lot of compassion and attention to detail. She sometimes enjoys the meals but it's also not necessarily always what she wants. I believe she has said that there is good quality, it's just not necessarily what she would have preferred. They do some bingo and they have a television in the common area for movies. I haven't exactly looked into what they…

I believe she has said that there is good quality, it's just not necessarily what she would have preferred. They do some bingo and they have a television in the common area for movies. I haven't exactly looked into what they have daily, but I've heard from my mother that they've played bingo. They seem to do a good job in keeping her floors clean and her bed made. They have a nice outdoor seating area, and they have a nice common area for lounging. With the pandemic, they have the families visiting in each resident's room. That's fine with us and it makes sense. They also allow people to take off their masks once they get to the residents' room. Otherwise, they would prefer to have the masks on while going through the facility. They have transportation. So far, I haven't seen anything about the programs, but she's also only been living there for a month or so. Hopefully, with no pandemic, there'll be more programs.
We had a brief tour of Renaissance Home Pinebrook. They had an area that was under construction, so they only showed us a sample room that was finished, and because of COVID we couldn't see where the actual residents were. The guy was very, very nice, and he answered all of our questions. They were amazing, and I really think that would have been a great place for her at that time. He told me about how they do pizza night once a month or twice a month there, how they had outings, but because of COVID they can't go out now. They tried to do virtual visits with family, church and stuff, and played bingo. They were great.
Renaissance Home Pinebrook looks very good and the staff members were really good. I like the food there, and I thought it's really good I've been there a few times during dinner. My mother's room there looks really nice, it's like a hotel. They have a garden area and a TV area.
Their rooms are so large in comparison to other local facilities! It's clean, homey, & the residents have all positive things to say about their home! They accept pets, have multiple activities daily, and you can tell their staff is committed to high quality of care! I love that they take their Residents out into the community!
