The owner seems to know everyone of their residents, I thought treatment like that was a thing of the past. They do treat everyone like family

My family was here before the new owners took over and I can tell you that they have turned this place around! They cleaned house literally and figuratively! Now the staff is always all manner, the facility is clean they have these housekeeper there that are always on the go! Amanda goes out of her way to make my sister feel special. Thank you pleasant ridge keep up the good work!

A resident for almost two years. The new owners have made so many changes, we have activities, great food, and I can’t say enough how much I like Mr. Ned. He makes it a point to visit me when he is here.

It is my opinion that Pleasant Ridge should be classified as a nursing home rather than an assisted living facility. The current designation appears to allow the facility to operate outside the scope of certain state regulatory requirements that would otherwise apply to a higher level of care. There are significant concerns regarding the facility’s cleanliness, safety, and overall quality of care. Bedbug infestations have been an ongoing issue, despite repeated denials from management and limited visible efforts to address the problem. The dining area is frequently unsanitary, with sticky floors and food debris present. The kitchen environment appears unclean, and meals are often served cold. Medical staff are reportedly unresponsive and at times discourteous, and resident falls are said to occur with concerning regularity. The living areas have a persistent and unpleasant odor, raising further questions about hygiene and maintenance standards. Following my initial public review, I was contacted by a representative from Pleasant Ridge within 24 hours and asked to remove the posting. I interpreted this as an attempt to suppress negative feedback rather than to address the underlying issues. For clarity, I am not asserting that the facility is legally classified as a nursing home, but rather that, based on its operations and level of resident dependency, it appears that such a classification would be more appropriate. During that conversation, I was informed that the shortage of comparable facilities in the area was offered as justification for the current conditions. I find this explanation unacceptable, as the availability of options should not determine the standard of care provided to residents. I am also concerned that other reviewers may have been similarly contacted following critical feedback. It is regrettable that management appears to view critical input primarily as an attack rather than as an opportunity for improvement. This response suggests a lack of accountability and an unwillingness to address systemic issues that impact resident well-being.

My aunt moved to pleasant ridge in 2023, we try to visit her every few months. Today we made the drive to see the resident making apple butter activities and the downstairs was decorated beautifully. This place has truly done a 180 since the new owners took over. Driving to the property the new roof really pops, there are housekeepers all over the place, and the entire feeling of the property has changed. We no longer worry about our aunt and feel she is safe at pleasant ridge. If you are on the fence about this place go take a tour, you won’t regret it.
