Its clean and efficient
They take good care of my mom. The facility is clean and cheerful; the employees have good attitudes.
I visited with family yesterday up on unit A. I don’t know what’s going on with Nurses today. This nurse had her headphones in the entire time of my visit yapping away using all kinds of profane language. Real sad thing to see. I believe most of em just don’t really care because they’re agency.
While it has been some time since my father was placed in the home, my opinion remains the same. Unfortunately, he was sent here during Covid, so myself and my mother were unable to check up on him as often as we would have liked. But during our few visits, we were less than impressed. Many of the patients appeared to be neglected. My father was one of 9 patients within the week who died from Covid. They had to get the National Guard involved because of it all. There was urine all throughout the facility. Patients who needed one-on-one help went without. Nurses were rude. My dad went without his glasses, which caused additional problems with his psychosis. I could tell he was often in pain, but he was ignored. I would NEVER recommend sending a loved one here. I have to spend the rest of my life knowing that my father and his needs were neglected during a time when he needed someone the most.
My sister moved to Pleasant Ridge Manor in August of this year after a sudden and extreme mental health transition. I have been so impressed by the nursing staff. They have consistently shown patience, warmth and great care with my sister. They have seen through her behavior to her intelligence and have gone out of their way to find ways to connect with and comfort her. They offer anecdotes about her activities which help me understand what the day brings for her. I have no previous experience with nursing homes but I feel confident that my sister is safe and well cared for. In addition to the unit nursing staff, the unit clerk, the clinic manager, the social worker, the AHN NP, the activities coordinator, the medical scheduler, the admissions coordinator have all been helpful and responsive. As I live hundreds of miles away, it’s been a relief and a blessing.
Worst nursing home I've seen in my life and it all started 5 years ago when my husband's grandfather was put there and they lost him in under 24 hrs of having him in their care....staff stole items of his but refuse to admit it..and we believe he was also dead hours before he was actually found which is sad.....there were only a couple truly caring staff members and they know who they are but the rest of that place is horrible and don't even try to come on here as the owners to try and say it's not true we're obviously not the only family you've treated so poorly
Very terrible people. The staff there are awful to the residents, our grandfather just passed away and they did not give him the proper care. He needed.
In my opinion I think the care for the elderly is weak in this facility! A family member of mine was denied of specific treatment for their healthcare needs. Watching my family member suffer in pain was the worst thing to watch! It's horrible quality health care! 👀Watching for improvement👀 but highly doubt it.
