Expensive to stay there.Very outdated rooms. No water pressure in room broken furniture , shared bathrooms down the hall. Lady who runs the place is very unprofessional. Asked a family member of mine if I was faking the intense pain I was in. I ended up in the ICU in the hospital that evening. All the aides ( with the exception of one old lady named anita who thought she could talk down to everyone there) were exceptional with the care they gave. Always willing to help . Found out later other residents said the same thing and had problems with her but they keep that nasty old woman on.

I Googled A Place for Mom in 2022 when I experienced a serious health problem and knew I would not be able to provide my spouse of 44 years with ongoing 24/7 supervision. I Googled A Place for Mom in 2022 when I experienced a serious health problem and knew I would not be able to provide my spouse of 44 years with ongoing 24/7 supervision. Paul’s Alzheimer’s disease was rapidly progressing at the time. He lived at Mt. Assisi Place for approximately 1-1/2 years until his death on [date removed]. I have no regrets re: the decision to place him in an assisted care facility. I visited nearly every day—especially towards the end. I got to know the staff well and can only speak of their kindness toward my husband and myself. As he declined, the staff provided more hands-on care. He did not attend activities but they were available every day. No complaints re: the meals. The facility was clean. Overall experience was positive despite the circumstances of [name removed] deteriorating physical and mental health. I paid $[fee removed] per month and the rate never changed—for which I was grateful.

Friendly staff, always smiling, kind to residents and family.

I would say to check out this community for sure. I think that this community is a good place. My communications with the staff are very good. They have activities at this community like bingo, exercises, church on Sunday, rosary and stations of the cross. This is a religious place so if you are not religious you may not be interested but it is a great place. What I liked also was that the fee included everything that they needed to take care of your loved one instead of the extra charges like the other places have.
