Katy and Bridget are the absolute worst nurses to deal with. I wouldn't trust them with my life let alone a family members
Loyalhanna Senior Suites & Personal Care is a very nice place. Mom is in personal care. Her room's huge and has a very big bathroom. When you go down the halls, you're almost like at a hotel. Their dining area is really big and friendly, and they have a sitting area where it looks like you could pull up and have a cocktail if you wanted. They have a movie theater on their fourth floor and a library. They have four floors and they have different things on each floor. Just like any place, they're understaffed, but the girls that are there are very nice. It's clean and very nice. It doesn't…

Just like any place, they're understaffed, but the girls that are there are very nice. It's clean and very nice. It doesn't smell. Their rooms are big. She has a bed, a recliner, kitchenette, little fridge, cabinets, a sink, TV, big closet, and a big bathroom. The layout is pretty nice and spacious. She likes it. There are days the food's not great. The dining area is real big and open. There's a fireplace in there. They always have it decorated and what I really like about it is they have a staff that comes around, almost like you're at a restaurant and they'll tell you what they're having for the day. If you don't care for that, they have other options that you can pick. There's something going on every day. They have bingo and crafts. I think they had some kind of little golf thing going on the other day. They have ice cream socials and milkshake socials. They have happy hours. I'm trying to get my father in over there too and the pricing they gave me was a little bit cheaper than what they wanted for two people up at the other place and there's so much more offered here at Loyalhanna.
I wanted Loyalhanna to be a great place for my 80 yr old mom with dementia. I was told when visiting Loyalhanna Suites & considering, that they had several other dementia residents & they are housed on the 4th floor, furthest from the door. Unfortunately, weeks after moving in, the day of their Mother's Day brunch, we left my mom in her room around 1:15. At 4:15, I received a call that she was found laying on the ground near the front of the nursing home next door. No one was aware she was missing, when she walked herself out or how long she was laying there injured, unable to get up. It was…

At 4:15, I received a call that she was found laying on the ground near the front of the nursing home next door. No one was aware she was missing, when she walked herself out or how long she was laying there injured, unable to get up. It was obvious that she was laying outside in the rain. My mom spent almost a week in the hospital & over a week in a rehab facility after. Hoping Loyalhanna's planned changes would keep her safe, i received a call in the following weeks around 9 pm, that my mom was spotted by a off-duty employee walking along the road, towards downtown Latrobe. Again, she left unnoticed & unaware to all of the staff that she was missing. This is unacceptable for any resident in a personal care facility. I obviously moved her out for her safety. I do appreciate the staff members that were kind & cared about her during her short time there. Its obvious who cares & who doesnt. It is basically a very expensive, random appt building. That is how they regard it as well.
I am forever grateful for the love and care of my Mom, Shirley Canterna, at Loyalhanna Senior Suites. Each and every member of the staff took the time to greet her with a smile, hold a pleasant conversation, and treat her with respect. I always knew she was in safe and loving hands. Thank you to everyone at Loyalhanna Senior Suites for loving my Mom and bringing us peace.
My great grandmother (Shirley Canterna) was a recent resident for almost a year and received outstanding care. The staff treated her with great respect as well as showing her incredible kindness and love.
Great staff and nice facility when Greg was Administrator. It went downhill and all about money and not about care when the owners changed staff. Seems like a yearly occurrence unfortunately the patients and family suffer because they don't get the care they are paying for...
Beautiful place, staff friendly and very helpful.
Absolutely beautiful campus with kind, caring staff. I highly recommend this as a place I would be proud to send a loved one to.
