DO NOT take your loved one to Lifequest. The place is a disaster. The help is neglectful and there is NO standard of care there.
My brother spent nearly one year at LifeQuest Nursing Center and I found the staff compassionate, kind, and they treated my brother with dignity. Their patience, dedication and genuine concern brought comfort to me. His caregivers were all wonderful but I would especially like to recognize Nurse Megan and Nurse Wendy. Their exceptional care, professionalism, and genuine concern for my brother I meant more than I could adequately express. They not only cared for him with skill and kindness, but they also kept me informed and updated which brought peace of mind.
My mother was not given the care a human being deserves. Call bells are ignored. They let the residents sit in soiled clothes. They wouldn’t change her socks every day. Even after we complained they still didn’t do it. I’m one occasion my mom needed to go to the bathroom. I rang the call bell and they never came so I went looking for them. By then my mom had soiled herself. I finally found an aid and told her and she told me that my mom would have to wait until she was done handing out dinners. Total neglect. My Mom ended up passing from heart failure. They pushed the signs of this off as…
My mother was not given the care a human being deserves. They pushed the signs of this off as anxiety. When they called me that night telling me her oxygen level was low. They advised me if they call the doctor he would not send her to the hospital. I told them to call 911 immediately and I went up. My Mom died a week later because of their negligence. In reviewing her medications, I found they were not giving her the blood thinner medication she needed each day. I also found they were giving her a medication that caused mortality in elderly patients. We filed a claim with the state against them and we are seriously considering filing a wrongful death lawsuit. Please keep your loved ones out of here.
My mom had good care in the Rehabilitation end. But once moved to the permanent side she was neglected. She kept telling them she couldn’t breathe. They chalked it up to anxiety. And at first I can see this but not after months. Her last two weeks I told the nurses something is wrong no one paid attention. She died of congested Heart failure. Her lungs were so full of fluid she drown. The nurses are supposed to be trained to notice symptoms of this disease. She couldn’t hold her head up anymore, and she couldn’t lye flat. All symptoms. They left her on her last Monday there struggling to breathe till my sister and I came in and took her to the Hospital. She died that next Monday.
I wouldn’t put my pet in this skilled nursing facility. The care is abysmal. The help bells are constantly going off and no one responds. My mom rang her bell so frequently and no one came to help, yet there was a “ nurse” at the desk on the computer and an aide filing her nails at the desk. Not only did we move my mom from this facility but the family of the person next door also moved their loved one to another facility. Lastly, a non certified aide attempted to give my mom an injection until I stopped them. Unbelievable.
THIS PLACE IS WORSE THAN HELL! Staff AND administrators are miserable, uncaring and should not be in the business of caring for the elderly. They show no empathy or patience and we have witnessed this firsthand on several occasions. They do not follow through with required care and never answer the call bells. They do not inform family with updates on the resident, especially when it is vital or an emergency situation. They ignore requests and seem bothered and are rude at all times. The rooms are old, in disrepair and need to be painted. The common areas are cold and have no signs of comfort. The photos on the website look nothing like this place DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!
This place is so unprofessional and has the worst nurse I’ve ever met working there!!!! In the rehab they have a male nurse (calls himself Lauren) that violates all types of HIPAA laws there is! He and another aide were talking about a patient in the hallway by the double doors, making fun of the patient and their mentality. It’s so distasteful! There was another instance where a patient was in the common area and he yelled at them, I was in shock! In multiple occasions I would ask questions and he was rude every single time! I will be telling EVERYONE I know to keep their family members away from this place! Then got upset at me because I called him a sir and he wanted to be called a mam, sorry you’re clearly a man and if you want to be called a she you should have it on your badge or something!
Stay away! My grandmother was admitted to LifeQuest for rehab care and eventual long-term assistance, and our experience was absolutely devastating. In the rehab unit, there was little to no communication with family. Despite her doctor’s orders, she was not given physical therapy for the first three weeks, which caused a major decline in her mobility. The nursing staff—mostly agency nurses—were often rude and dismissive, showing no bedside manner or compassion. When she was moved from rehab to assisted care, nothing improved. Nurses routinely ignored her call bell for hours, forcing us to step in to dress and clean her ourselves. Her food orders were not followed—despite her needing puréed meals after a stroke, she was repeatedly given solid food she could not eat safely. Personal belongings constantly went missing, including her blanket and eventually her cell phone—shortly after she had called us in the middle of the night crying that a nurse had hit her. A police report was filed, but administration brushed it off, telling us she was “confused” or had “a bad dream,” even after other residents reported similar experiences with the same nurse. Her medical care was unacceptable and dangerous. In just four months, she got tested five times for UTIs, and during her last transfer to the hospital, doctors discovered she had MRSA and critically low potassium (a level of 2). LifeQuest claimed they had been giving her potassium the whole time, but the hospital confirmed she had not received it at all. This facility failed my grandmother at every level—rehabilitation, nursing care, safety, nutrition, and dignity. We pulled her out immediately after her last hospitalization. Please, if you value your loved one’s health and safety, stay far away from LifeQuest.
