Everyone working there was pleasant , helpful, and professional!! My friend seems to be in good hands and he appears happy. Personally , I wish his health was better and these people are definitely making this long term stay enjoyable for him. Now that I went for the first time, I’m going back tomorrow to see my childhood friend!! Thank you!!🙏🏽
Huntingdon is AMAZING! From the moment I entered the facility, it was clear they care about their residents like family. The place is immaculately clean and the staff so personable. Most important, my neighbor, who is like a second dad to me, loves it there! I highly recommend Huntingdon to others seeking a home away from home for their loved ones.
When I was about to be discharged from the hospital, I was given a few options. From the list of facilities I was given, I chose Huntingdon Valley for rehab. Once reaching here from the hospital everyone greeted me with respect and got me situated right away in my room and immediately got me comfortably up to speed on my experience here and what to expect. They helped me get accustomed to the facility and what to look forward to. Within a short time I was seen by doctors and nurses to take care of my medical problems and get me notified on what medications that I'll be taking and why I'll be…
When I was about to be discharged from the hospital, I was given a few options. Within a short time I was seen by doctors and nurses to take care of my medical problems and get me notified on what medications that I'll be taking and why I'll be taking them. Due to the recommendations of my doctors and nurses here, I was put in a pt and ot program which I do every day. These programs have helped me in a great way, and I think the OT&PT therapists that I have worked with have been excellent. They are very skilled and know their profession well. And even more importantly they are friendly and care about you as a person. I can't say anything bad about this facility. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because of a minor mixup with my medication to which I communicated to a nurse supervisor who rectified the problem by the next day. My review will be updated from a 4 to a 5 if they consistently continue their efforts in this resolved issue. Possibly my favorite aspect of this facility is that management is extremely accessible. You can talk to them about any problems you are having and they will try to resolve them and make your stay here more comfortable. One aspect I like about this facility vs others that I have been in, everyone here is really friendly staff wise and there are a lot of activities for you to partake in if you'd like to. The facility is very clean. The meals are very good.
My father has been a patient at the Huntingdon Valley Skill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for about a month and a half. What a breath of fresh air. The staff is very knowledgable, and available. The center is clean, ad well lit. Meals are nutritious, and well portioned. His laundry is done every couple of days, and returned to his room clean and folded. The rehab staff are wonderful, caring and have patience! The director of the center is always on site, and always available to talk via phone, even on the weekends! Socially, he has a great group of guys who he plays cards with nightly. The activities director is wonderful, and keeps him busy and engaged. I recommend this facility to anyone who is on the fence. You will not be disappointed.
I was recommended this facility from Jeanes Hospital and I can not say enough good things about my time there. They recommended I go to Huntingdon Valley Skilled Nursing & Rehab for their PT and OT team. My goal was to be able to stand and walk on my own again. Having discharged, I am still so fond of my time there. My stability, endurance, and strength increased so much to the point where I was able to leave there on my own two feet. The residents were a family. The staff made me feel apart of their big family. I love the way the facility is set up. I was so excited to be able to get my strength back and navigate through the facility and the elevator on my own. At first I was a bit scared. and I had to ask therapy to assist me. Now I am happy to say I can do that entirely on my own. If you have any friends or family that need any sort of therapy, I wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone I care about. I am so grateful to everyone there
My father was in this place for over a week up until yesterday and he was receiving very poor treatment. The nurses did not check on him often enough when they should have. They did not clean up his mattresses in a timely manner if at all. Most of them did not even bother to know what his diagnosis was. They had no idea what was actually wrong with him and kept trying to make him move in ways that he could not move because of a fracture in his back. The ones that I met mostly had a disconnected uncaring attitude towards him. Whenever he needed his clothes changed. The dirty ones were just thrown on the floor. The beds also have no guard rails to keep anyone from falling out of them and the nurses would constantly mess with the bed settings thinking that they're trying to help him and the only thing they were doing was hurting his back every time. Thanks to them we also were unable to get a biopsy done for him because they gave him oatmeal for breakfast that day. He has trouble remembering what day it is sometimes. On a day that was very important to us they fed him anyway and tried to blame it on him for eating it and not remembering his appointment even though we explained it to them three different days leading up to that appointment with multiple calls, emails sent to them from the doctors and even handwritten instruction. That place is where you leave people to be forgotten and that's how it feels like they were treating him. They even tried day one to get him to change his insurance without us knowing but he told them to call my sister which I'm glad he did. I will say that only four people there actually seemed nice and genuinely wanted to help. However, outside of them everyone else seemed like they could care less. Just trying to keep to a schedule in order to collect a check is all they are there to do. He was truly unhappy in there with the treatment and service as are the rest of our family. Oh and the day he was admitted to a proper hospital due to his blood pressure being low. They didn't even notice he was gone until 8:00 p.m. when they called us asking where he was and for an update. Truly, incompetent and uncaring. Do not send your relatives here if you truly care about them. I pray that most of these people lose their licenses over how they treat the elderly.
This is a Very Clean Nice Facility.
My grandfather came here after hip-repair surgery. I'm an RN and I thought my grandfather received excellent care here. All of the staff were helpful, careful, and accommodating. I was very pleased with their care and will be looking into long-term care for my grandmother here.
