This place is a prison/coffin for your parents.. the staff is rude and inconsiderate and the food is terrible. They treat residents like inmates. Update: after the reply, I think I was just upset the new front desk person, NOT Denise seemed to lack empathy/basic manners when presented with an emotional family member (me). What stinks is my grandma died over a year ago, I was only coming to thank the staff bc I haven't been able to bring myself to do so.. new desk person made me feel like an outsider and weirdo.. no thank you for the note nor condolences for our loss.. just strange behavior…

this is a place that is committing financial elder abuse. years ago my grandparents BUILT a house with homestead. on top of that they pay the monthly fees that are associated with living in this community. when signing up they were told that transition to apartments would be easy once they get to that point. they even have it listed on the website that there is no additional cost to moving, this is a lie. my grandfather passed 2 years ago leaving my grandmother alone in a house far too large for her. we attempted to move her, but the fees and extra cost of living in the apartments is more…

this is a place that is committing financial elder abuse. years ago my grandparents BUILT a house with homestead. on top of that they pay the monthly fees that are associated with living in this community. when signing up they were told that transition to apartments would be easy once they get to that point. they even have it listed on the website that there is no additional cost to moving, this is a lie. my grandfather passed 2 years ago leaving my grandmother alone in a house far too large for her. we attempted to move her, but the fees and extra cost of living in the apartments is more than $5000 a month (it's closer to $7000 more) on top of her current fees. for 2 years she has been declining. she started showing symptoms of dementia and we wanted to move her. again the costs were astronomical so homestead suggested having someone come to her home a few times a week to make sure she is alright. she fell, which caused alarm and homestead said they would up the visits to an hour once a day 7 days a week. well a week later, A WEEK after homestead said they would have someone check on her everyday. two of those days no one came, and one of those days she fell, and was left on the floor for about 24hrs. my family took my grandmother to the hospital. homestead tried to hide that they missed two days of checking on my grandmother. they are also now insisting that my grandmother needs 24hr care if she stays in her home or she needs to move to the apartments, again the additional cost of all this is thousands a month. thousands on top of thousands she's been paying, on top of the thousands medicare is paying, PER MONTH. if my grandparents didn't have money, if they didn't have savings she'd be on the street. homestead informed my family we had 48hrs to make a choice between apartment or full home care, and now 2 days after the choice was forced upon us homestead is back peddling. they aren't paying their staff, they are short staffed, and they do not care about the elders under their care. if they did, my grandmother wouldn't have been left to rot on the floor for a day, nor would my family be the one to get her the medical help for the fall, nor would they intimidate local family to push for the highest priced care. this is not heathcare, this isn't care at all, just exploitation. disgusting.

Went to visit relatve and went to lunch in dining area. Very pleasent and helpful staff

My wife wanted to go to Homestead Village when she was still alive. It was a little older, but they had a multitude of field trips and activities. I think there's a lake as part of the complex. We were looking at it for independent living. They had snacks available when we were visiting. They had villas. Some of them were newer, but the others were older and not as spacious. They had patios, too. There was a lake by some of the villas, and those were the newer and larger ones.

Went to door dash there and the secretary couldn't even be bothered to take someone's food to walkie them to come get it. Made me stand there and call the person to come get their food.

Great place that took care of my nana in her final days. Staff is kind.

When bad winter weather hits, Jim and I freshly appreciate our decision to move to Homestead Village. Driveways and sidewalks are efficiently cleared and treated after a snowfall – one of many benefits that make us feel comfortable and secure in our home here.

Beautiful retirement community.
