I heard good things about this place and placed my family member on the waiting list. When urgently needed space, luckily, the bed was available. However, after triage over the weekend the screening person announced to me that the bed is gone. No explanation or appologies. And he was unprofessional, unpleasant, without any sympathy to me - exactly opposite behavior you would expect from the person occupying this kind position.

My mother in law lives here in the independent living section. She loves it!
We visited Highland Park Senior Living. It was very nice. The people were very, very nice to deal with. However, the place that my loved one is in now is more spacious than what we were looking at in Highland Park. The place itself is very welcoming. It looks like you're going into like a hotel. The person who took us around was very accommodating. Of the places we saw, it was one of the two my friend would have probably gone to.
Not recommended for your loved ones or to work there. Administration can be very petty. Just do your due diligence and ask around.
The place itself is beautiful. The bosses and worker are not. There were alot of health violations to the client's there. Two clients was given the wrong dose of medication and could have died. People who are not licensed nurses are giving out meds too people. People that's working there are uncaring and just about the money. I miss the client's ,I made friends with, an can't even visit them. Someone is going to die due to negligents of others not caring enough. Someone needs to secretly work there and see what's going on. Because if that was my family an I'm paying all that money. I would want my family members treated better then they are right now. An they are building another building right now on Montague Mountain in Scranton, PA right now. People be aware of your family members lives in someone else's hands. Take care.
Beautiful place to live if you can afford it.
