Very unprofessional place. I've been calling for months to do the CNA program, filled out the application, even went in to ask questions. I was told someone would contact me and never did, everytime I call, someone answers the phone and dismisses me or tells me to call again. This is why the nursing community is such a disaster and understaffed.
I can’t begin to say enough about highland manor! My mom was there for over 4 years and we could not have asked for a more loving caring staff! Mom got the best care possible from loving nurses ,aides,PA,&doctors, & administrators. From the administration staff to therapy to activities to kitchen, laundry, maintenance . Front desk girls were always helpful and understanding. Pam,Dale,Barb & Leo were always helpful and patient and understanding. It’s hard to name everyone and I’m sure I’ve missed some names so I’ll just say Sue and her girls and guys were the most loving understanding staff I…

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such good care of mom.She loved all of you and you made her feel so loved and cared for. Anyone thinking about considering Highland Manor,do not hesitate you won’t find better care anywhere or a more caring staff!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the nursing and administrative staff at Highland Manor on behalf of myself and my Aunt Judy. When Judy was brought here, she was in pretty poor shape, but after a few weeks of excellent nursing care, she grew strong enough to be able to go home (something we were initially uncertain of). And the administrative staff was very helpful and informative when it came time to put "at home" support in place. Thank you all for what you do!
My mother went in to try to get stronger to come home, but unfortunately she ended up passing in the facility due to her end stage illness. This facility and their staff were kind, knowledgeable and caring for my mother like she was their family. Our family had nothing but an amazing experience in such a time of grief. She was comfortable and cared for well. The communication from the team and our family was consistent and honest. I will recommend this facility to anyone who needs their family cared for. We can't thank them enough for the care they gave.
My grandmother is here they recently moved someone into the room with her that has Covid which is now exposing her and risking her life instead of just keeping that person in that room she was already in that was already exposed just to make an extra $3000 they are money hungry and do not treat the residents right and are always under staffed and always have a ton of lights lite up because the residents need help. STAY AWAY FROME THIS PLACE YOUR LOVED ONES WELL NOT BE TREATED THE WAY THEY SHOULD HERE!
Went to see my friend Daniel Munafo on Monday October9th, 2023. Schooley Ave Exeter location. He died the next day. It was a young girl by his bed cleaning his nose, because he just had fallen off his bed, and no one was there to prevent it. My observation about his care was for about 10 minutes. I gave him cranberry juice through straw, he drank little. But the water was thick( but he tried to drink the juice) . I wanted to give him water to drink, because his mouth was glued together from dryness, he could not drink , had no strength to get that thick water through straw. So what they had on the table for him was thin juice and thick water. Guy was dying from thirst. Girl, standing there , which she should been taking care of his needs, finally gave him two spoons of that water, because I told her is not going through straw to his mouth. Don’t you guys have sponges with water to wet his lips? And meanwhile that was hospice service. Dinner was portion of ground beef, side of cabbage and some kind of cream corn with corn pieces. They had thick water for him worried that he would choke, but expect him to eat that kind of food. Girl said he munched two corn pieces before I went there. I was talking to my friend and crying. He had no memory. The young girl, left the room.Danny had no socks, and foot was out uncovered. She was asking Danny if he was cold. Kidding me right? The guy could not talk or think. He was dying. In my way out seen her at the nurses station on the hall side just standing. Wow. Go sit by the people who need help or a good word,or give them water, wet their mouth. Very sad that he was dying and fell off his bed. Unbelievable…I honestly would not even give one star to that place.
My mother recently completed short-term rehab at Highland Manor post-hospitalization after a fall. She thrived with their physical therapy and nursing care. Her mobility improved dramatically from being unable to stand on her own to walking out of the facility with just her cane. We are very happy with the care she received during her stay - thank you to the entire staff for their help!
My aunt contracted covid here , NO damn stars!!!
