My mother received excellent care during her time at Hickory House. Everyone treated her with care and compassion every minute of every day and I am truly grateful.
Everyone was extremely friendly. The nursing staff seemed attentive to the patient we visited. Having theraoy sessions 5 days per week is a plus. The nursing home was clean and had a pleasant smell, which is not always the case in nursing homes. The only downside is the smallness of the room; however, the lounge room for visiting was nice.
Hickory House in Honeybrook is by far the best short-term, long-term nursing facility I’ve experienced! The staff is amazing. They take such good care of my grandmother! She’s pretty popular and some of the staff refer to her as grandmom which is perfectly fine with us! The medical staff and administrative staff are on top of things and never fail to keep me updated! The furniture is dated but that was not an issue because they keep things tidy and clean. Very seldom is the smell unbearable. My grandmother enjoys the food, especially the ice cream! The number one thing I love is that everyday…

The number one thing I love is that everyday they have her bathed and dressed. Each time I visit she is up, dressed, and in her chair. I’m so grateful for the staff at Hickory! They have made this emotional transition with my grandmother, less stressful for my family.
Everyone at Hickory House are very caring and compassionate. They make you feel welcomed. The nursing staff is outstanding, and provide great care for their patients.
Been so pleased with the care my mom has received here! Huge shout out to Dawn the nurse in the PT wing. She treated my mother like she was her own and I will be forever grateful for her!
My dad said he laid in bed half the day waiting for someone to come get him out of bed.
As a previous patient, I have to tell you how it really is. The over night staff is very rude and does not respond to buzzers in a timely fashion. The food is not diabetic friendly. My sugar was consistently high while I was there. The majority of the nurses were very nice. The rehab staff for physical therapy and occupational therapy were also very nice and did a great job. I was there recuperating from major surgery. But I was put in a room with a patient who had dementia. Getting rest was very difficult due to constant interuptions. As someone with anxiety I found this experience very overwhelming and increased .
Attentive receptionist, genuinely friendly, safe, and clean!
