Terrible place my mother had a bed pan under her for a hour because nobody came to remove it . Twice had to return to the hospital once for a UTI also force her to sleep in a wheel chair. This was in 2022
My mother was quite happy being there and I was happy with pretty much everything. they always kept me in the loop as to what was going on and the staff was very good to my mom, especially [name removed]. I have since run into someone whose mother is up there right now and they said the exact same thing about [name removed], she is the most caring, compassionate and warm and kind person.

Even though Mom was in independent living, the staff would check on her or help her when she was downstairs if they suspected something was amiss. They went above and beyond what would be expected. Super friendly. We could tell they genuinely cared about the people living there. When Mom passed away, they were very caring and helpful.

Heritage Ridge, as far as I'm concerned, is THE BEST facility in the area to have your loved one placed. The nursing staff is caring and competent, the facility itself is clean and organized, and I have to give a shout out to Cassidy Keilman who made the application process smooth and seamless. I highly recommend Heritage Ridge at Johnstown to anyone who has senior-living placement needs.
A Family member lived in the Allegany Lutheran home for four years until it was bought by Heritage Ridge. That's when everything went down hill. She got out one night unattended and was found laying in the parking lot bleeding from her head. When they went for assistance no employee's could be found. 911 was called. Two weeks later the administrator called and said she would have to get out today or move to full care with no 30 day notice. The family offered to purchase a wonderguard system for the place but was turned down. They had to scramble to find another nursing home which they did with the outside help of Eillen Graham who was wonderful helping in this difficult time. The simple solution is a wonderguard system to keep all residents safe. Shame on this nursing home.
