I picked up here via agency! Very friendly and informal staff! Organized! In-house staff really takes care of their residents! They certainly have them on routine! No surprises! Supplies stocked especially weekends! I’d pick up here again if given the opportunity! Check them out!
They are providing outstanding care for my mother. Mark, the owner, is usually seen on premises 7 days a week and is very responsive to family requests. His staff truly is compassionate, caring and professional. Highly recommend this facility.
I really believe this is one of the very best nursing homes in new castle. My great uncle, my great grandma and my aunt was there.. I cannot express my gratitude to Mark and the Tanner family as well as all the workers.. I loved working there when I did.
This place is super unprofessional!! Also to the boss is disrespectful to his workers treats them like garbage unless he likes you. They argue infront of the residents at the desk. Also one of the nurses nod off at the nurses station and they don’t do nothing about it. Horrible place!!!
this place has fired so many good women and top it off there staff has argued infront of the residents and the owner is so rude to the staff its unreal i give this place a 0 they dont deserve to even been open at all!
My husband is in Haven Convalescent Home. I'm very pleased with it. They're short-staffed, but they are doing it. My husband is receiving excellent care. The rooms are clean and taken care of. I really have no complaints. Their staff are actually working extra to help get through this. If you ask for something, you may wait a few extra minutes because of being short staffed, but you get what you need. I have no complaints. The place is clean. The grounds are very nice outside. They have areas for the patients and the family to visit outside with shelter away from the sun. They have tables, and they have bird feeders for the patients to watch the birds. The parking lot is kept clear, and the sidewalks are kept clear. They do a fantastic job. They decorate for each holiday. The patients receive gifts for each holiday. I would recommend it highly. It is a small facility. It is not a really big facility, but I have come across no staff that I do not see compassionate and caring. They have a very caring and compassionate staff, and the owner sees to that. My husband has no complaints with the food. He eats well. They have a big lunch, a small dinner, a snack, and breakfast. They can basically get a snack anytime they ask, and they can get something to drink anytime they ask. The food is quite adequate. If they don't like what they get, they will gladly give them something else. I'm just glad that's where my husband is at. It's convenient for me. He is clean, and he is well groomed. I'm happy he is there, not that I want him in a nursing, but I'm glad that's where he is at.
Laundry and housekeeping boss was a nightmare. Crazy, rude, and plain old mean. Complained because I was too organized. Very weird, very uncomfortable.
My grandma has been residing at the Haven for about 5 years now. She's on her way out of this world but she would not have been here this long without their caring staff. They take the time to know your loved one and treat them like family. My grandma is 95 and they have taken exceptional care of her skin, hygiene and spirit. The owner is there pretty much every single day and you are never restricted from a visit. I wish I knew how to thank these compassionate care-givers adequately.
