I believe that Grandview provided my mom with quality care in the final year of her life. A lot of good hearts work on the premises.
We placed our mom Pat out here in November 2024 and she did pass in October 2025. I will say that the care she had here was excellent! She also lived her best life there with the activities, the manicures, parties and especially the social interaction she had was great for her. I would recommend Grandview Estates in Elizabeth to anyone who would like great care for a loved one.
I cannot say enough good things about Grandview and its staff. The environment is warm and welcoming - the staff treats your loved one with care and compassion. They always have tried to figure outa way to accommodate our needs. They have activities weekly that the residents really enjoy- not to mention gatherings around the holidays for friends and families of the residents. Knowing your loved one is being taken care of and that they are happy Is priceless. I would absolutely recommend to anyone seeking care for their loved one! Great facility, great, loving staff and administration. It's always a hard decision to place a loved one. They make it easier, they treat your loved one like their own! I can rest easy when I leave knowing that they will take care of my loved ones medical and emotional needs.
I would not trust my love ones in this facility. They are so short staff that they literally hire anyone. They need to start drug testing there employees .
I highly recommend Grandview Estates of Elizabeth. My father suffered from Parkinson's disease and dementia. He spent three years at various facilities in ElizabethTownship, Whitehall, Mt. Lebanon, and Bridgeville. I can say from those experiences that Grandview Estates provided my father with the best all-around care. The staff at Grandview treated him with warmth. The administrators went out of their way to assess and address his physical, mental, social, and emotional needs. The nursing assistants and medical techs were friendly and developed a relaxed rapport with my father. My dad received meals that looked and smelled good and were tasty, unlike the bland paste that he had in other nursing homes. The environment was attractive, clean, and inviting. It had a fresh scent, rather than the harsh chemical or body waste smells that are common in nursing facilities. All of these contributed to a feeling of being home rather than being in a nursing home. As my father's diseases progressed, the care team was responsive to my inquiries and concerns. OSPTA hospice services kept my father comfortable, and they worked with Grandview's staff to help my dad and me throughout his final days. They supported me, listening to stories and being present as I went through the stages of grief. All of the care staff treated us with kindness and dignity.
When the time comes for that difficult decision, go straight to Grandview. I wish Google allowed me to give 10 stars. I absolutely adore the staff, the administrator Kerri, the facilities, everything. In finding a place for my mom, I toured many places, made even more calls but in the end, there was no doubt that Grandview was the place for my mom. I have been thoroughly impressed with them from day 1 and any time I leave after I visit, I breathe much easier knowing she’s in the best of hands. Above, I called it a “difficult decision,” but the peace of mind you’ll have that you’ve found the perfect place for your parent doesn’t make it as difficult as it may seem when the process first started. Thank you Grandview for everything you’ve done for both my mom and me. ❤️
My mom was a resident at Grandview and it was the most wonderful experience. The staff and director make sure all of your loved ones needs are met. They get you up every morning, bathed, dressed and ready for breakfast. The food is home cooked and if you don’t like what they are having there is always other options. I would do it all over again. I got to love everyone that works there like family.
