The place is wonderful. The staff is very nice and very supportive. It took my mom about 6 months to settle in and it wasn't an easy 6 months. They were patient and understanding.
The facility is very homey and it's very clean. The staff is amazing. So patient and wonderful. My mom has been quite difficult through this transition and they're just fantastic. Housekeeping is also excellent. She's a hoarder and they keep her room clean and keep an eye on the hoarding. Move in was super easy. Mom says the meals are great. They have activities every day. I would highly recommend Getz.
Staff has been super welcoming, helpful, and friendly. My mom really seems to enjoy their company. I get quick responses to any questions or concerns I have. I’ve found them easy to work with in bringing my father up as well.
Nothing bothers me here at Getz Personal Care Home. The staff are good people and there are about 50 residents. Some people live in a double room. I live in a single one. It is clean. They get inspected every month. They love me. I get along with anybody. The food is not great but it's edible. Sometimes I order out. They have exercise, bingo, and sometimes music. The money I pay is just too high for a one-bedroom. Some people pay less.
The biggest concern is the food. The portions are small, lack taste and some residents, me included experience weight loss. Appears to be understaffed and there is a problem using your own pharmacy, health providers and have experienced billing irregularities. Assistance during health emergencies is poor. The staff is wonderful, kind and friendly but there is a high turnover. I would hesitate to recommend but it provides a roof for a reasonable cost. Facilities include exercise equipment, Zumba, therapy, bingo, regular live entertainment and religious services. Rooms including the dining room are clean. The service for meals is very slow and delayed. FB
Poorly staffed, residents treated with inadequate nursing coverage, items stolen from rooms., terrible food. Over billing to unsuspecting residents. Manager and owner dismiss and ignore complaints from residents as just senile old people. The workers who have stayed here and kind, compassionate and loving despite the direction from the owner and manager.
We've placed my brother-in-law in Getz Personal Care Home, it's assisted living. He enjoys it and he likes the people that are there. They're taking care of him very well. He likes the food and the surroundings. The place is in a nice rural section. It's out in the country, very nice and it's very well-kept. They have different activities that go on almost daily and on weekends for the residents there. They also take them out shopping or out for ice cream. He seems to be very content with the food and the meals.
The cleanliness of the community while our loved one was there was excellent. We did have an issues with one care giver but the issues was resolved and everyone was very friendly and really nice. Sometimes our loved one was not a happy camper when it came to the meals, but we did really like that the residents had to come out of their rooms and eat in the dining room for meal time. They always had a lot of activities going on, plenty of opportunities for residents to get involved. We liked that our loved one had their own room, with a nice bedroom, bathroom and big closet. Also the grounds of the community are really pretty and were very well kept, you could look across and see a pond with geese and ducks.
