This fabulous community is where I’m privileged and proud to say I’ve lived since 2018. I’m now 79 and the worry I had about growing old is gone.
Everything at Foulkeways at Gwynedd has been excellent! The main reason we chose this facility is because of the walkability. Indoors and out.
I have lived Foulkeways nearly 14 years. It oldest and best full service retirement community in the region. It has a lush park-like campus and many activities,
Everything about this retirement home is awsome! It is well maintained from the inside and out, the kitchen serves one of the best meals for the residents and the dietary is well groomed with positive attitude towards the residents when serving meals. The CNA's and the Nurse's also worked together with the meals preparations so the residents can get their food in timely manners. I worked here before and I felt warmth in this clean environments. The Steak really looks delicious here
What is exceptional here at Foulkeways is the pre-screened quality of people here. Something they could work on improving is the weather
The receptionist woman is horrible! I can see why they posted signs to replace her! As soon as my daughter called, she answered the phone and immediately hung up the phone. Called again since maybe it was a mistake, but no, that woman is MISERABLE. Refused to give us her name. I can only imagine the other staff. STAY AWAY don't take loved ones here.
I love my studio apartment and its lovely outside patio. When cancer hit me last year I simply moved into a room here where there was excellent, full-time nursing care. They helped me get back and forth from chemo sessions and they took loving care of me when I felt awful at times. Now free of cancer! The staff is simply an extension of the terrific community here. (I often give scathing reviews of things, so these raves are not typical for me!) As editor of the monthly residents’ periodical I’m happily involved with people and events here.
I’ve been living at Foulkeways for exactly one year now, and I must say it’s a fantastic place to live for someone in their senior years. The care is wonderful, and everyone is super friendly! I’m so grateful to able to live out my remaining years here.
