This licensed 48-bed personal care home provides 24-hour resident aid and on-site physician care, with services for dementia/Alzheimer’s and hospice care. There’s a brightness and warmth to the place that you feel when you walk in. Every staff member I’ve encountered has greeted me with a smile. As a contractor, I’ve had the opportunity to do a few projects for Forest Hills nursing home, and I can honestly say I’ve been impressed. There’s a brightness and warmth to the place that you feel when you walk in. Every staff member I’ve encountered has greeted me with a smile. They have horses, rabbits, fish, and even take residents on golf cart rides. It’s those little things that can make a day feel special. We were invited to stay for lunch, and I’ll admit I didn’t know what to expect—but the food was delicious! The owner has also been a joy to work with and, on the projects we’ve handled, has spared no expense to have things done correctly. Trusting people you barely know with someone you love is hard. But I’ve always believed true colors show when no one is looking. For weeks, I’ve been just the contractor working in the background, and what I’ve seen has left an impression on me. Credit where it’s due: thank you to the owner and staff for the warmth you’ve shown us and the pride you put into the place. You may have even eased my mind a little about getting older. 😉
As my parents age, we’ve been looking at personal care homes for the future. Without a doubt, we’ve decided Forest Hills Personal Care Home is the only option! Follow them on Facebook, and you’ll see all of the activities they do with residents. If that doesn’t sell you, go visit! The interactions I witnessed showed nothing but care and compassion from the staff for the residents. From the golf cart outings, to the therapy animals, and all of the celebrations, this is by far the best facility in the area! What’s so impressive is family is invited to participate in the fun activities as well.
Truly a hidden gem that feels more like "home" than any other personal care home in the area! They have loving staff, home-cooked food, and creative activities that cater to all ability levels. Residents can sit outside on a beautiful deck or covered patio area and watch the horses and chickens that are on the premises. They might also enjoy riding in the handicap accessible golf cart, either through the wooded property or in a local parade! This is truly a unique place and I highly recommend visiting to experience the difference!

I have had the pleasure of visiting and being invited to their holiday events! It’s the at home relaxed atmosphere feeling. They have animal therapy (horses, chickens, rabbits too!) terrific caring staff and home cooked meals from scratch. It is the pretty bedrooms, group activities and the golf cart rides to the barn and pond that all the residents look forward to! Visit and tour here with your loved one.
I have a family member at Forest Hills Personal Care Home. There are so many thoughtful touches that make this a premier place to be. The caring, dedicated staff, the cleanliness, and the delicous home cooked meals made the decision to place our loved one there easy. For me and my family, we love the many therapy animals that surround the home. The residents engage with the animals on a daily basis and the staff uses these encounters as a way to build relationships and challenge the residents senses. The crafts, parades complete with a handicapped golf cart, and themed events are all things my family member enjoys. We are grateful we found Forest Hills and placed our family member there.
If I could put zero i would! This place is shameful. My loved one was treated horribly and I wouldn't even take my dog there.
Exceptional care for the residents and amazing therapy for residents! Can not say enough good things about this facility.
Their intention is pure at heart, they offer so much for their residents! They have many forms of animal therapy, their located close to the woods so it's very peaceful and gorgeous! They provide just about all forms of care and they actually care while doing so.
