As a visitor that comes daily I always have a great experience here. Everyone is kind and welcoming. Jill, Sharon, Wanda, Rob, and Ray are always willing to give a helping hand and an amazing group of people. Everyone here cares deeply about the residents and treats them like family.
What are great community! I have worked in Advanced Care and this is the type of place you send your Mom. The support these residents get is truly top tier and it's consistently getting better, which you don't see often. 10/10 Recommend.
When we first brought my grandmother to this facility, my family and I were incredibly impressed. The warm welcome we received, along with the care and attention shown to my grandmother, made us feel confident she was in the best hands possible. The facility hosted wonderful family-oriented events, such as BBQs and themed picnics, which allowed us to spend meaningful time with our grandmother. Her health was well cared for, and communication between the staff and our family was excellent. It was truly a place we felt fortunate to have found. However, over time, many of the dedicated and…
When we first brought my grandmother to this facility, my family and I were incredibly impressed. However, over time, many of the dedicated and caring staff members, who had become such an important part of our lives, began to leave or were let go without any explanation or communication. This lack of transparency was very troubling for us. When we tried to address our concerns in a meeting, we were met with extreme rudeness from the new director, not only towards our family but also towards others who were in similar situations. I have never felt so disrespected by someone in a leadership role, especially when dealing with something as sensitive as the care of a loved one with Alzheimer’s who cannot speak for themselves. Visiting my grandmother also became increasingly difficult. The policy change that required staff to open the door after 5 PM was understandable from a safety standpoint, but the execution was appalling. Despite calling the listed number, there were multiple occasions where no one answered, and I would wait for over 25 minutes without any response. There were even times I had to leave without seeing my grandmother, which was heartbreaking. Ultimately, we made the difficult decision to bring my grandmother home, as we no longer felt confident in the care being provided under the new leadership. I rarely write reviews, but this experience left me deeply disappointed, and I feel it’s important for other families to be aware before entrusting their loved ones to this facility. I do want to acknowledge that there are still some truly amazing people working there, and I am grateful to them for the care and compassion they showed my grandmother when possible. Many of the other reviews list the amazing people who made so many family’s for comfortable and unfortunately, the individuals named are the ones who left.
I am very happy with Floral Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center. They've just had a major change of personnel, so I'm hoping that once the dust settles they get back to some of their events that everyone enjoyed.
Honestly they all get 5s except the staff friendliness which gets a 10 even though that isn't an option !!!! It was a wonderful place for my mom to spend her last year and a calming place for my dad and the kids to visit her at. It was immaculate, had so many creative activities (although my mom never chose to participate) and they treated her with love and respect. It was expensive but cheaper than some other places in the area and given all the care she needed and the staffing necessary I feel it was fairly priced...I would without hesitation suggest this to others who live in that area and are wanting a smaller sized long term care residence for their loved one. As a side, we would have never known about it if not for A Place for Mom. So thank you.
Floral Creek Alzheimer's Special Center is a very great place. Their staff is very welcoming. Crystal the admin is awesome as well. She knows how to care for her patients and provide the right continuity of care as well. I would highly recommend my family member to live here. Make sure you go and check the community out.
I can’t say enough positive things about the Director Crystal and her staff on how amazing they made this transition for me with my mother. If your parent or relative has a need for this type of care look now further then Floral creek
My name is [name removed]. I frequently visit Floral Creek at different times of the day. I honestly can say that when I visit the residents are beautifully cared for. The residents always appear happy. I highly recommend Floral Creek.
